We're lucky to live close to one of the MUNI terminals where you can buy your MUNI pass during your visit. It is $15 for a one-day pass, $24 for a 3-day pass, and $29 for a 7-day pass.

From this Airbnb, you can easily walk to the buses that run nearby. Look for yellow paint on poles that says "BUS STOP." The 9R (rapid) bus will take you to the Ferry Building, which has everything you could want. The 29 bus will take you to the BART train for getting around the greater SF Bay Area, and to Golden Gate park and Baker Beach. The 8 and 8AX (X is for express) is a fast bus that will take you to Fisherman's Wharf through downtown and China Town. The 9 and 9R (R is for rapid) go to the Cable Cars and the Ferry Building on the waterfront where you can shop, site see, and catch ferries. Pickup the 8 and 9 bus on San Bruno Ave. Catch the 29 on Mansell St. The KT Muni train is a short walk away, and will take you to the waterfront.
