A small, sit-down restaurant in Prospect Heights serving up heaping portions of Jamaican dishes, like hearty, slow-simmered oxtail and rice and peas cooked with fresh herbs. They also have Stamp and Go—crispy saltfish also known as accras—served as an appetizer. Their jerk chicken and shrimp are coated in a spicy, nutty sauce. I love the Escovitch fish, which is typically a fried whole red snapper, served with a peppery vinegar sauce.
