About this place
The Reichstag building is a historical edifice in Berlin constructed to house the Reichstag (1894-1933), parliament of the German Empire and the Weimar Republic. After WW II the building fell into disuse. After reconstruction (1995-99) it became the seat of the German Bundestag.

Tips from locals
Climbing up the dome and seeing the federal parliament at work is one of Berlin's most popular attractions. This is unfortunately not as convenient to access as it once was. It remains free but visitors need to book a few days in advance through the Bundestag website.
Visit the roof of the Reichstag building and feel the political transparency that has been created with the new dom.
You must book the free visit to the Reichstag dome because of its amazing view on the skyline!
