Great pre-sunrise location, to catch the morning's golden hour of the Zion Canyon's Valley & Switchback road from the valley floor to the top of the east canyon. Great sunrise shots of the Streaked Wall & The West Temple.

ZION TRAIL: Beautiful but short hike with a big payoff view at the end! Only 30 minutes to one hour, one mile hike round trip. :) You will park just after the tunnel on your right hand side (if coming from Springdale) or just before the tunnel on your left if coming from Highway 89 and the east entrance to Zion.

Canyon overlook is stunning. It is a shorter hike, so there are typically a lot of people on it, but stunning nonetheless. You can drive to this one; heading East on Rte 9, it's right after the first (& longest) tunnel. The trailhead will be on your left, and there's a small parking lot on your right. The trailhead has a sign that's hard to read from the road, and the trail itself is hard to see because it's pretty much straight up a rock wall at the beginning! If there's no parking available at that lot, there are a few more options a bit further down the road. There are a couple spots behind the pit toilets on the left and various street parking spots after that. I think you will recognize the view from the top of this one if you've been browsing Zion pics. It's an iconic one!!

A fairly easy trail in Zion if you aren't looking for something that will take you all day. This trail is just one hour roundtrip with beautiful views of the canyon.
