Brown’s Island is a six acre waterfront park and venue that can accommodate over 10,000 people and provide a beautiful backdrop for events. Its proximity to downtown businesses make it a great spot to take lunch or get out of the office to go for a walk amongst the sculptures and exhibits.

During summertime, they always have different kinds of festivals for food and music and it's always a great experience. You always have a choice of many different food trucks and brews. It's usually cheap to get tickets to whatever is going on as well.

Brown's Island has Friday evening concerts May through July. Also host many festivals. There is a great foot bridge across the James River.

Nice place to relax, walk, run/jog. During warmer season they have paddleboarding/kayaking available for rental

Great little island if you just want to spend some time outdoors. Also the host of tons of local festivals, and there's free wifi!
