Absolutely stunning beach when the tide is out... At the far end is a beautiful nature reserve - well worth the walk along the beach.
sandy beach with large pebble ridge. Safest beach for swimming / learning to surf
A great expanse of sandy beach, rock pools as well. An old fashioned seaside town that has a lot to commend it.
Made up of a 2.5km long, sandy beach, backed by a pebble ridge with Northam Burrows Country Park behind, Westward Ho! is a local favorite all year round. Dogs are permitted from October to April on the whole beach and all year round at the Northam Burrows end. There is ample car parking and disabled parking close to the beach.
