This is a wonderful place to visit if you enjoy beautiful roses and taking in the view of Berkeley.
Established in 1933, the Rose Garden is in the form of a terraced amphitheater nestled in a small canyon and offers stunning views of the city and bay of San Francisco and the Golden Gate. Over a hundred varieties of roses grow along the terraces, (maximum blooming early Spring). The park is bisected by Codornices Creek. The north side of the Rose Garden includes a set of tennis courts. The south side is a grove of Coast Redwoods, bay trees and coastal live oak. Across the street (or through the subterranean tunnel) is Cordonices Park. There is no entry fee.

An old historic rose garden that comes to life in the summer time. Nice quiet spot with a spectacular view out into the bay and San Francisco.
