Great family fun, a miniature railway running along the coast from Hythe to Dungeness. Dymchurch is our closest stop. Great for sightseeing

We took my son (2) Two daughters (13 and 10) and two nephews ( 11 and 3) on the train one day in summer down to Dungeoness. It’s about 30 each way with a quick 20/30 mins there and the toddlers loved it - which I expected but I wasn’t expecting my daughters and oldest nephew to enjoy it as much as they did! It’s just a lovely family day out and reasonably priced to boot. We especially loved waving at everyone as we chugged past. We’ll def book to go again soon

The railway’s world famous one-third full size steam and diesel locomotives power their way along the 13.5 miles of track, from the Cinque port town of Hythe, terminating in Dungeness – a National Nature Reserve and one of the largest shingle landscapes in the world.

Running from Hythe to Dungeness and back, a real miniature steam train that really ought to be rubbish, but is great fun!

steam railway trips for adults and children... not full size, but big enough for adults to sit inside the carriages
