Trail along the lakeside. Easy access, historical information and tours. Very informative and fun beach access.
Lucky Baldwin built a Casino in 1901, and his daughter built herself a huge 5000sft summer house (and destroyed the casino). Great place for a walk around and next to the lake (tours available in the summer). Bring your dog
Activities/Shows in Summer, Best cross-country ski/snowshoe along the lake in Winter
Historic site right on the shores of lake tahoe, great place to get away from the crowds and enjoy the scenery of the lake.
Nice beach nearby and a historic site. Access to the beach is free and usually no issues with parking. Even if parking is full, you can park on Emerald Bay Rd. It will be about 5 mins walk then.
Interesting historic stuff--close to the lake and lots going on in summer time
So amazing to see the buildings. To read the history. To imagine what it was like here so long ago!
Many restored old Tahoe homes and estates open to the public with nice beaches - not busy. Seasonal programs occur here such as the Great Gatsby Days, plays, films, Christmas shows, etc
