Ski resort that is more popular with beginners and a little farther from the cabin. Leave early to get a parking spot at the base and avoid having to shuttle in from remote parking lots.

Although Bear is known for it's parks and jumps, we think Snow Summit has the best views of the lake, and the friendliest staff. Protip: Try the bar at the top of the East Mountain Express Lift for amazing views and strong drinks.

“Bear Mountain is known for it's park design! It also has Southern California’s only halfpipes and largest learning area. There is a inter-resort shuttle that goes from Snow Summit to Bear Mountain every 30 minutes. It's often easier to find parking at Bear Mountain resort! ”

“Located in Downtown Big Bear, the Alpine Slides is the place to go if you have kids. Take them on a electrifying bobsled ride down the mountain, make a splash going down the waterslides, or in the winter, go tubing.”
