The Otago Museum is a GREAT museum. I could easily spend 4 hours here and not see everything I wanted to see. The Polynesian exhibits are great, you can learn a ton about local biology and geology, oh and did I mention there is an actually Egyptian mummy? Yeah! Wanna gross yourself out? Head…

Planetarium, discovery world, tropical house (charges, but not expensive) Maori and Pacific culture, early settlers, great exhibitions, animal attic etc (lots of free things) Great cafe and gift shop.
