From Kelvingrove, walk across the park to the University of Glasgow. The gothic-style buildings were designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, famous for creating the St Pancras hotel in London. With its turrets, vaulted ceilings and bell towers it looks like something straight out of Harry Potter.

Park
“Classic example of a Victorian park, designed by Sir Joseph Paxton, and which measures 34 hectares (85 acres). Its set on the banks of the River Kelvin, and is (in my opinion) the best park in Glasgow. Depending on time of day / year, you may find joggers, cyclists, students, dog walkers, skaters and barbecuers all using this wonderfully green space, and the Kelvin walkway cuts right through the park. It's just two minutes walk from the flat, past the bars and restaurants in Gibson street, the entrance is opposite Eusebi's deli.”
