Tips from locals
Beautiful, indigenous plants, birds and animals to be seen. Various walkways to chose from.
Stunning Nature reserve with a broad range of native wildlife, hiking trails and scenic views.
Faerie Glen Nature Reserve is close to the townhouse, and has hiking trails leading to high point to view all of Pretoria, a bird sanctuary, lovely outdoor picnic areas and restaurant.
Faerie Glen Nature Reserve is perfect for a comfortable to tough hike. One can also have a picnic if you like. There's a chance you will be enjoying your meal with zebras and springboks. Worth a visit. I think it's about R11 per person entrance fee.

“Fantastic Hike to the Giant Fig Tree that is more than a 1000 years old. Legend has it that a chief was buried at the base of the tree and that is why it grew so big. Rumour has it that the tree could shade 1000 people... there is also an old fort to be seen.”
