One of the original "cool spots" in Fishtown, this place is a solid bar/restaurant and live music venue (upstairs) that hosts lots of great acts. Great food, decor, & outdoor seating. Also, pool table

Amazing neighborhood spot. Brunch, latenight snacks, great bartenders, good music

Probably the most popular bar in the neighborhood. Good menu and always a great rotating selection of craft beer.

If you want a good brunch, this is a great spot. In addition, it becomes a relaxing (a bit divey) bar at night. Be warned that if you show up much after 11:00am during a weekend you will probably h... read more

Do you enjoy vintage arcade games and alcohol? Then you're gonna love this place. Grab a handful of quarters and spend the night tapping buttons and yanking joy sticks.

They have tons of vintage video games and draft beer, can be fun if you're in to that sort of thing... "Joust", "Rampage", "Gauntlet" and "Gataga" are some of my favorites I always look for.

Philly branch of the well-known, Brooklyn bar combining good beers and a slew of arcade video games

Yes, it's a gastropub. The food's usually quite good, but it can get loud. Very good beer selection, almost as good as The POPE.

They have a great variety of drinks and entrees. The appetizers are awesome and are half price during happy hour (M-F 4-6PM). Check it out! (P.S. Wild boar tacos are great!)

Ok theres a lot of great places to eat around, this is a bit more upscale in terms of bar food but it is simply amazing. Great burgers and sampler appetizers!

Largest craft beer selection on draft in the area. Burger is a favorite of mine as is the beer can chickem. Daily specials like flat breads, salads and cheese and meat plates.

One of my favorite places for food (dinner and brunch) as well one of the best beer selections. You can also enjoy the nice weather with some people watching at their outdoor tables!

A restaurant with take out beer and a huge variety selection. I have heard good things but have never been to eat the food. I now go to the Port Richmond Thirftway as they sell craft beer bottles.

Pick your bottle from the fridge and have the bartender crack it open for you. Rare beers, build your own 6 pack, and good food. Foozball on 2nd floor!

Fun spot to pick up a bottle out of the fridge and hang at the bar or bring it home! Usually "good" 90s music on.

Hands down our favorite local hang. Often we try to go other places but cannot make it past the Tap as it affectionately called cause it smells so delicious and has the best beers on tap.

Perennially named a top bar in Philly. Great food; very fresh, rotating menu based on what's fresh and in season. Lots of great beers on tap.

Great restaurant fashioned after an English pub. The Duck liver parfait will make you faint. The pork belly is crispy and unctuous. The Pimms Deluxe is one of the best drinks I have ever had.

Traditional British cuisine. A lot of beautiful rooms. In the Winter, you can have hot toddies by the fireplace. I think this would be a good place for a date also.
