You'll learn about our most important kings—their names are easy to remember—and hear the quirky details about the current royal family. Then we'll unearth one of the best-kept secrets in the city. We'll check out the scene of Stockholm's bloodiest massacre, where over 80 people were executed, and touch a thousand-year-old Viking runestone. You'll walk along the narrowest street of this amazing city and learn why it's a tourist magnet—and I'll also tell you a secret that most people do not know at all. Lastly, we'll admire the beautiful architecture of this unique place and enjoy the experience. At the end I can provide a huge list of recommended activities with restaurants, bars or just ideas what to do after we are done with our walk through the old town. Most importantly, we will do this no matter what kind of weather awaits us—rain or shine, as they say—because I can protect you from even the most severe conditions. Join our unforgettable winter kayaking at the heart of Stockholm Archipelago. Escape the big city and enjoy wonderful seaside landscapes, only 40 minutes by bus from Stockholm. Kayak is the best way to discover unique landscape and explore some of the 30,000 islands. We will meet you in our kayak center on Resarö (it's easy to get here by subway + bus 670 and it will take you about 40 minutes from Stockholm). We will start with short safety briefing and caring kayaks for warming up. After changing clothes for drysuits we are ready to paddle into the wild of archipelago. We leave kayak center behind us and glide along the Resarö coastline towards Vaxholm or Bogesund Nature Reserve, depending on wind direction. Area around Vaxholm is among the most beautiful places to paddle. Admire amazing swedish nature and local architecture along the way and listen to local stories. Together we will enjoy the fresh, clear air and the view over archipelago that goes in pale tones. Soak up the scenic winter views and feel immersed in the tranquility, despite being just half an hour from Stockholm. During or after the trip we will enjoy swedish fika with warm drinks and something sweet to follow. If you’ve never tried ice skating before, then Stockholm is one of the best places to start! If you do have experience ice skating then you may rather take a look at ‘A Day on the Ice Guided Tour’. Join us for a very Swedish winter adventure; skating on natural ice. It’s such a thrilling sensation gliding over the ice amongst the nature, a truly unique and unforgettable experience! Your experienced guide will brief you on the tour and safety equipment before taking you to the day’s best ice in Stockholm’s outstandingly beautiful natural surroundings. This tour will focus on learning how to Nordic skate, enjoying the scenery and having lots of fun! Your guide will coach you on the best techniques for gliding easily over the ice and there will be some fun practice exercises to perfect those techniques before setting off on your adventure! You will ice skate for 3-4 hours on the beautiful natural ice of the Stockholm archipelago or one of Stockholm’s big lakes, before stopping for a well-earned picnic lunch. We meet in kayak center in Resarö (close to Vaxholm). First we will help you to adjust your kayak. Then after short safety briefing we jump into kayaks and paddle into the wild of archipelago. After kayaking that it's time for retreat! We will enjoy typical Swedish 'fika' with coffee and snacks followed by sauna relax session to warm our bodies and refresh in Baltic sea. Trip is beginners friendly although normal physical condition is required. We are happy to share some basic kayaking knowledge! More advanced paddlers are welcome as well! We will offer instruction on how to develop your paddling skills. We use mainly double sea kayaks (single kayaks are available for experienced paddlers). Doubles are incredibly stable and are great for those who are nervous or if you just want to share the paddling. The tour is available all year around. Welcome to join me on a scenic flight with stunning views of Stockholm Archipelago and the heart of our capital. I love sharing the passion of flying and I'm sure it'll be an unforgettable experience! We will depart from my home airfield, located a one hour drive / train ride from Stockholm. When everyone have arrived we'll get acquainted and go through the planned flight and make sure you are well familiar with the airplane. Once we are all ready and the preflight briefing is complete, we'll take our seats in the Piper PA-28 airplane and begin with the preflight checklists and start the engine. Soon we will be taxiing down the field and lining up with the runway for a final takeoff check. When everything is cleared, we'll set full throttle and start to accelerate as we begin our takeoff roll. After flying for while, a beautiful view of Stockholms largest freshwater lake, Mälaren will appear before we close up over the southwest part of Stockholm. The total flight time is variable, but at least 45 minutes long. It takes about 15 minutes flying to reach Stockholm. As we get closer you'll easily recognise landmarks such as City Hall, Globen, Gamla Stan, Royal Castle, and more! Join Birgitta on my team at her home in Kungsholmen, central Stockholm. She serves traditional Swedish coffee (coffee/tea/juice with delicious cinnamon rolls and Swedish cookies) and tells you about our special coffee tradition that Swedes all over the country adhere to. Birgitta meets you at Kungsträdgården, in front of Jakob's Church, right in the center of Stockholm. Together you take the metro to Birgitta's apartment which was built in 1930. She has two balconies and one facing the water outside Karlberg Castle, which she likes to talk about. From time to time, I, Catarina, organize the coffee tour. Even then, we meet in front of Jakob's church in Kungsträdgården at 1:00 p.m. I live in what's called the 1965 million program and I'll tell you why I love living there. We both live along the blue metro line, the youngest and deepest metro in Stockholm.

I will pick you up by car and we will go about 40min east of Stockholm to the Archipelago with its thousand islands. Here while breathing the fresh air we will take a walk along the shore of the Baltic sea treading on the smooth round granit rocks polished by the mass of ice during the ice age. I like to go slowly and take in all the scenery and listen to the ocean. The water charges the air with negative ions to become very healthy. Every day is so special and we will watch the sky and water change and create different moods. Somewhere along the path we find a nice place to rest, relax and have some traditional Swedish Fika, a cup of tea and a treat. Enjoying the view over the Archipelago and our company. Then we return back and having worked up a good apatite we will enter inside the local warm cozy atmosphere of my favorite restaurant on the beach overlooking the sea and have some lunch. Here is were the swedes go. The menu is based on traditional Swedish dishes with a touch of modern flavors. There are always vegetarian options available. The best thing with the Archipelago in the winter is the quietness and the feeling of freedom to be in such an open space almost by yourself and perhaps a few locals. On the one hand, just right next to kayak center there is amazing Bogesundslandets Nature Reserve with outstanding nature and plenty of wildlife! On the other hand there is a lively island Vaxholm which is known as a capital of archipelago. In the middle of the trip we will look for nice place to land for a break. We'll end the trip after about 3 hours in the same place where we started. Trip is beginners friendly although normal physical condition is required. Our Kayak Dock is located right in the heart of the city, just 400m from our Adventure Café, so we start our kayaking tour in a prime location! Hi! We meet up at our bike shop on Kungsholmen a short walk from Central Station. On each tour, we will cycle on bike paths through the very heart of Stockholm and visit: Kungsholmen, Riddarholmen, Gamla Stan, Skeppsholmen, Östermalm, and time permitting Djurgarden. I will show you key historical sites, my favorite hidden places, and share Stockholm’s history. We'll ask questions! Which Swedish king found 14 "Semlas" a bit too much and why? Which famous woman helped introduce the potato/vodka to Sweden? Who invented the zipper? A Swede of course! My tour brings not only a unique perspective but, will help you save time and money by identifying areas of interest that speak to you and you can return to later. On our return back into the heart of the city, we wind our way through the posh Östermalm neighborhood. I'll show you a shortcut from Gamlastan-Old Town to the city's busiest pedestrian street as well as point out Parliament, the Royal Opera and more. This tour is designed as an easy biking tour offering unique insight into Swedish culture. The tour will always be led by myself. I offer this tour in English, Spanish and French.
