Book a couple of nights with us and experience glamping in the Texas hill country! With a hot tub, fire pit, outdoor shower, basic kitchen, queen bed, wifi, TV, small library of western movies, and 10 beautiful creekside acres, this trailer is a hit no matter what the season or the weather. Our retro Airstream has been featured in many Texas travel lists and magazine articles (Southern Living, Apt Therapy, Dallas Morning News, The Sun (UK), Outside Magazine and more). Come stay a spell...
Do you ever daydream about jumping in a travel trailer and heading west? Are you enamored with the vintage style of a bygone era? Do you enjoy camping, but secretly wish you had a real bed, wifi and a bathroom? If so, the Dixie Daisy is for you! This cute Airstream trailer has been completely renovated with a retro twist. It’s the perfect place to escape for a relaxing weekend surrounded by nature, yet equipped with the conveniences of home. Grill up a yummy dinner with your honey and dine al fresco on the large deck, take a morning stroll along the creek, turn on the string lights for some mood lighting, take a dip in the hot tub, enjoy your morning shower under the trees in the private, spacious outdoor shower (room for two!), and end your day relaxing by the fire with an ice cold beer. This is the life! The Dixie Daisy provides all the comforts of home in one cute, cozy package. The antique iron bedframe holds a queen mattress, the bathroom has a small interior shower and a real toilet, the kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and utensils, and alongside the deck is a charcoal grill and fire bowl for your night-time fire. The owners really go out of their way to add those special touches to make your trip complete, such as leaving fresh eggs in the fridge (as long as the chickens keep up) and local organic coffee. They also strive to make this property as green as possible by using environmentally friendly dish soap and laundry detergent, providing recycled paper products and full recycling, using low-wattage light bulbs, and more. This cozy retreat is nestled in an elm grove along the banks of Smith Creek on 10 beautiful acres shared with the owners. You’ll really feel like you’ve escaped to nature, yet the fabulous shopping and dining of downtown Wimberley are only 3 miles down the road. It’s the best of both worlds! So, what are you waiting for? The Dixie Daisy is the unique getaway you’ve been dreaming of. We are confident that it will exceed your expectations! Pet policy: Pets are allowed for a fee of $50 per pet, and we ask that you leave cash or check for the pet fee with the keys upon checkout. Pets must be declared to the owners in advance, preferably at the time of booking. We ask that if dogs are left unattended that they be crated and that they remain on leash when wandering the property if they might be inclined to chase a child, cat, or chicken or wander off. Thanks for understanding! Single night bookings: We have a two night minimum, but when there is a single night gap in the schedule we are happy to accept a single night booking for an additional $25. Just shoot us a message with your date and we'll go from there. Guests will have the Airstream and surrounding area to themselves. It sits on the 10 acre property where we live and have another 2 person vacation rental, but we tried to space everything well and leave lots of uncleared nature for privacy. We strive to give our guests as much privacy as possible, but you may see us from time to time during your stay. We love to meet our guests, so don't hesitate to strike up a conversation!
Wimberley is a lovely little town full of unique shops, swimming holes, and friendly folks. We think you'll love your visit here! You will need a car to get around Wimberley.

Super Cute Retro Airstream

Celebrating that we were named by TRAVEL & LEISURE as top Airbnb in Maryland! Set in a serene waterfront setting in Churchton, on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Light Landing creates a fun and relaxing retreat in proximity to Washington, D.C., Annapolis, and Baltimore, with pier, kayaks, and fire pit on a country-like acre.
The sunrise and sunset water views from this light, but cozy, space are particularly dazzling in fall and winter--when guests seem just as thrilled to be here as those who come during the warmer months when they can sunbathe, paddle, or swim. Light Landing's shady lawn and bright open spaces; electric 'wood stove' indoors, bbq, and fire pit outdoors; huge screened porch; tree swings and double hammock; English “tree gardens,” kayaks, crabbing, and our relaxing pier afford a peaceful and inspirational setting any time of the year for your stay in the Washington Metro area. Many individuals or couples take a break from their business or sight-seeing for a restorative or romantic retreat; others come to Light Landing to complete writing, art, or other projects that require sustained focus or a secluded work environment. We've had countless happy couples for anniversaries, honeymoons, and even wedding nights, all of whom felt they had plenty of privacy and most of them have become “regulars!” Some guests even utilize (for an extra charge) the owner's skilled support in writing, editing, and author coaching or The Work of Byron Katie to restore creativity or resolve stubborn life/health/work issues. THE ASCENDED SPACE ["The Flat"]: Light, modern, open studio loft with bay-view window seat, creek-view skylights. Completely private from our house downstairs, the Flat has its own separate entrance on the water side of the house. Luxurious marble bath with deep freestanding tub and large European shower. Leather couch, writing desk, well-appointed granite wet bar/kitchen with microwave and refrigerator/ freezer, bar- height table and other indoor/outdoor spaces for cooking, dining, work, play, roasting marshmallows, and--of course-- relaxing. Queen bed, Wireless internet with varied work spaces, Flat screen TV/DVD player, HDMI cable for Netflix, I-Pod doc. Includes use of pier, screened porch, fire pit, BBQ, kayaks, swings, entire country-like acreage. $118-149/night, $648-718/week, (check with owner for special rates for a month). These variable rates depend on the weekend/season. THE GET-AWAY [By Special Arrangement; Contact Owner]: Smaller adjoining waterfront Swedish/antique bedroom with double bed [cannot be rented separately; only as an accessory to Ascended Space to be used by part of YOUR party--i.e., someone like a friend, child, other couple who can share the upstairs living space and bath with you, but have separate bedrooms]. Adjoins the studio loft space (separated only by a stairway and bifold door). Use of all amenities listed above. $60/night, $300/week, $900/month for one extra person (these charges increase by 20% when a second person shares the 'Get-Away'). 3 BEDROOM/2 BATH WATERFRONT COTTAGE: If you find the dates you wanted are booked or you'd like more space or to bring a dog, please check out our NEW listing for the Cozy Chesapeake Waterfront Cottage next door!! (Hope you'll take a peek anyway, even if the dates aren't booked, and tell all your friends!) With so many return guests wanting to bring friends, family, or their dog, my friends and I have banded together to buy the cottage next door just for this purpose, and so far our guests have been just as thrilled with it and happy there as they have been in the Flat. See the entire description by clicking on my (Shawn's) profile. Scroll down the left side to "My Listings" and select Fun Chesapeake Waterfront Cottage. So far, our guests have been thrilled with us, and we've been thrilled with them! What a cool thing. Hope to see you soon! Guests have full access to the shady waterfront lawn at their accommodation, plus the kayaks (2 singles and 1 two-seater ocean),canoe, make-shift paddle board, pier (including crab pots, fishing, or swimming when season permits), hot tub is one of our great shared amenities, swings, 1 acre of land, gas and charcoal grill, outdoor recliner chairs, as well as dining table and chairs, and screened porch associated with my house (The pier, swings, water craft, and screened porch are sometimes shared with guests at our Cottage next door. So far that has not been a problem). Also, by request, you can book a special session with me of "The Work," (of Byron Katie), an amazing and very simple form of self-inquiry for relieving stress and solving problems. My daughter and I tend to leave the waterfront for you and the Cottage guests. I am very available for recommendations, directions, or questions, but also leave you with all the privacy you want! (The Flat has a separate entrance, and seems to have had plenty of privacy even for our wedding night and honeymoon couples--who tend to come back for anniversaries, too!)
Sleepy little town with just enough services--VERY closeby (1 mile) despite our country-like ambiance. Some great spots for whatever you want to eat, many of them waterfront dining whether indoors or out, where you can also pick crabs--the local delicacy--or have crabcakes, or yummy Cream of Crab or Maryland Crab (vegetable) soup! Grocery store, pharmacy, fitness center, banks, consignment/antique stores all nearby or on the short scenic drives in the Guidebook. Annapolis is just a short trip and an amazing destination for a daytrip seeing its beautiful historic sights and neighborhoods or Amish market, or just a trip in for dinner--which we often do--to a waterfront downtown loaded with shops and restaurants or to catch a movie. Nestled on a country-like acre in a surprisingly convenient corner of the Chesapeake Bay, this unique area is just over 20 minutes south of Annapolis and 45+ minutes from Wash DC, Alexandria VA, or Baltimore. Guests who have access to a car (or serious bike or shallow draft boat) can easily converge here and use it as a relaxing waterfront "home" while you're touring the area or even taking a "staycation" and commuting to work. After a quick trip from a number of cities or airports, all you need to do upon check-in is the following: * hang out and chat or snooze under the large shady trees, * swing or kayak or yoga to your heart's content, * play Frisbee, football, soccer w/ your dog, friends, or kids, * read or work on your tan as you gaze at the water, * cook out, cook in, or pick crabs at a table on the lawn, * savor the nearby waterfront dining, * cozy up, watch DVDs, or play games by a wood fire. Or just settle in to the pace of the birds and the bay breeze for a week or two. :-) 3 BEDROOM/2 BATH WATERFRONT COTTAGE: If you find the dates you wanted for the Flat are booked, please check out out NEW listing for the Cozy Chesapeake Waterfront Cottage next door!! See the entire description by clicking on my (Shawn's) profile and scroll down the left side to "My LIstings." There are 3 listings here at Light Landing: the 3 bedroom/2 bath Cottage, the single-room Carriage House, and the Flat. The 'Get-Away' bedroom just supplements the Flat if you need more sleeping spaces, and will never be rented to another party when you're here.) Once in a while I also rent out my entire house (it's listed on Airbnb as Shawn's Amazing Waterfront Digs) for a bigger party, or if there is a conflict on an important date, so feel free to ask about that also. Please save the environment and the electrical bill by leaving thermostats at a moderate temp when you leave the house for long. Thanks! Commissioning Week and other stays booked well in advance may be subject to different price structure Thanks!

We love having explorers from all over the world to bring good energy into the art studio! If you are an experienced camper, you'll be so happy here. Please read every word of the description, especially if you are not a camper, we have a camper toilet, not a flush toilet. Someday, the world will not be able to sustain flushing drinking water into a sewer. The Art Studio has a light footprint on the earth! Runs on solar, has efficient heater, induction plate, Southern windows.
Nestled in South/North Park, a gentrified neighborhood, the Art Studio Retreat is on a quarter acre canyon lot which is lovingly maintained with lots of places to read and rest. It was designed for "Green conscious" travelers and "glampers" people who camp .If you are not a camper, read on very carefully. Many guests have said that "the studio called to me". And it does! It was handmade with a lot of love and good vibes, to be a healing & creative space. It is cozy, romantic and serene. The rustic cabin is self-contained with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay : kitchenette, WI FI, induction heating burner w/pot and pan, cooking utensils, toaster oven, toaster, microwave, mini-frig, french press coffee maker, hot water kettle, George Forman grill, clothesline, big art sink, electric heater, soaps & toiletries and hair dryer; twinkly lights inside and rope lights outside; a wooden deck, patio and a pool! A queen size bed with comforters, a 4" foam topper, big blankets, fresh sheets and towels. For our international travelers, we have a converter and adaptor for electrical appliances. Take an outdoor shower (private enclosed area). It is a one of a kind place. "It feels like I'm home," our guests tell us a lot. Remember, it has a camping toilet, not a flush toilet. The water from the cabin drains right onto the plants! The electricity runs off our solar house panels. The cabin has an electric hot water heater; most basic composting toilet called "Loveable Loo" uses no water (see YouTube) and we compost it. Mexican Chiminea fireplace for romantic night time fires, tree-house effect in the city; and all with a friendly yoga teacher, Jean, who specializes in working with cancer patients and does cancer advocacy work. Chris is a retired social worker, open-ocean swimmer, gardener, and photography buff. We enjoy our guests and are just friendly people. We seem to attract the best guests on the planet!!! Our quaint city neighborhood is centrally located, about 2 miles to the Zoo and Balboa Park, and full of nightlife, local micro-breweries, wine tasting bars, colorful pubs, artist spaces and more. We appreciate their trust in us and are grateful for it. Europeans especially love our Art Studio Retreat! Campers think they've found Nirvana! We are listed under GLAMPERS (glamorous camping) on Airbnb. People who camp are very comfortable in small quarters and big nature. If you are not a camper, you might not enjoy the Art Studio. ******We are a recommended destination and work hard to maintain our rating.******* If you like hotel chains and standard motels, you might look elsewhere. We want you to have a fabulous experience with us and Airbnb!!! Thanks for your interest!! Safe travels!! Blessings!! We love our eclectic neighborhood, with a small town feel and all the funky locally owned places that wouldn't be found in suburan areas. We think the Big Kitchen is a blast from the past! We have some incredible resturants within walking distance! Tex-Mex, great Italian, Indian, burgers and a Chocolate place!! If you enjoy a good hearty walk, (1 mile) you can easily be at the bus in and right in the heart of our sweet, little, local neighborhood. There are canyons to explore and wildlife that surprises! You can rent bikes or use Lyft (or Uber) or take the bus (with some planning for extra time). Dockless bikes and scooters are also an option. There's no need to miss your exercise plan while here on vacation. We have many gyms and yoga studios. Loma Lighthouse, The Missions, and minutes from Downtown San Diego. Plenty of street parking in this quiet neighborhood.

From 2018 Coastal Living article: "There are beach towns, and then there’s a town so stop-in-your-flip-flops gorgeous, it’s tempting to name that place the ultimate beach town. Such is the temptation of Kailua, Oahu’s slender strand along its windward shore that’s home to two idyllic public beaches and 53,000 very lucky Hawaiians. Kailua Beach arcs in powdery white-sand splendor for 2 1/2 miles. The gentle ocean drop-off from shore makes it perfect for swimming, bodysurfing, and surfing, and a steady trade wind also makes it ideal for windsurfing. Surrounded by steep emerald slopes and carved quietly by rivers that flow into Kailua Bay, this understatedly hip community just 12 miles from Honolulu is endowed with extraordinary beauty, a serene lifestyle, small-scale neighborhoods of single-family homes, a walkable downtown with great food and shopping, and vistas without peer. Locals maintain a tight leash on development, and the result is a downtown that’s small in scale and big on community. Here, surf-inspired boutiques, an electric-bike shop, and an artisan chocolate factory founded by young local entrepreneurs now keep company with traditional businesses including Whole Foods, a pancake house and a dive shop. Public transit is doable on the Windward side though, we highly recommend renting your own car since there are so many amazing and diverse experiences on Oahu. Tax ID # W13057827-01

This beautiful spanish style house is all you need for a relaxing trip in San Diego. Very centrally located and many places within walking distance. Everything redone and upgraded. Come relax and enjoy the peaceful weather here in Sunny San Diego! This is a uniquely appointed two bedroom house in the heart of the University Heights/North Park/Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego. The house is very private and features wonderful indoor and outdoor living. The house is a spanish styled two bedroom, nice bathroom (with a urinal!) . An AMAZING king sized bed comfortably sleeps two. A third or forth person may sleep on the queen sized bed in the second bedroom. There is also a large couch in the living room that is comfortable to sleep on but it is NOT a pullout couch. Your stay includes plush towels, and new linens and pillows. There is cable TV and free WIFI internet throughout the house. Gas range, plenty of plates, utensils, and cookware. Dining area with four chairs. Parking is easy! There is lots of street parking, although it can be a little tough in the evenings. +Charming 2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Unattached Private House + +Hardwood floors throughout +Completely redone, new kitchen and bath +Laundry, hi end washer and dryer +Dishwasher +Gas Stove +Microwave +Large Refrigerator +Beautiful exterior, with amazing backyard +Street parking for cars + Very gay friendly neighborhood This is a rental of the ENTIRE house, not just a room and not a shared space. About the Neighborhood: This cottage is located within walking distance (a couple of minutes walk) from fantastic dining and entertainment options. The house is very close (2 blocks) to the bus stop, which will take you up and down Park Blvd. or El Cajon - from Hillcrest to Downtown. The beach is a quick 15 minutes drive away, as is Sea World, Coronado, and Balboa Park. The airport is an $18 taxi ride away. If you're looking for a nice pool, the Lafayette Hotel is a few blocks away and has a great pool and patio bar. You can swim during the weekdays for free if you buy a drink at the bar, and the place has a big pool party on weekends with a $5 entry fee. For better or worse, San Diego is a driving city. Everyone drives and cars are pretty much the best way to get around. That being said, the house is very close (1 block) to the bus stop, which will take you up and down Adams Ave. or Park Blvd. or El Cajon. The MTS is a great bus service that can take you downtown, or all over San Diego. We also have a great trolly system. Taxis and Lyft are also really good ways to commute in San Diego, especially if you go to bars. Rental cars and Car2go are great ways to get around as well. This is a quiet relaxing house/neighborhood – no partying please. PARKING on the street: Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any damage or theft to vehicles and their contents under any circumstances. Please ensure that no valuables are left in your vehicle at any time. Always make sure your vehicle is LOCKED.
