Hütte Mockchan is
It is a log house built about 40 years ago, located in the rich nature near the shore of Lake Onuma.

The cafe space with a wood-burning stove has a nostalgic atmosphere, such as a retro Showa period, where you can lose track of time.

There is also a fire pit in the garden where you can have an open fire.

Please have a relaxing time in a simple mountain hut (with a single bed) that only "sleeps" with the minimum necessary facilities.

The space
・ Hütte Mockchan is a two-story log house built a little over 40 years ago in Onuma Quasi-National Park on the outskirts of Hakodate.

・ There are 5 rooms on the 2nd floor, and each room is a simple room with 2-3 single beds.

・ The shower room, bathroom, and washstand are shared.

・ The shower room is available from 6 am to 10 pm.

・ The first floor is a cafe space, which is open mainly during the day on Saturdays and Sundays, but if you order from us, we will do our best to accommodate the cafe menu. We recommend cheesecake and hand-drip coffee.

Guest access
The first floor is a cafe space,

* There is 1 shower room for men and women. Shampoo, body soap, towels, etc. are not provided, so please bring your own.

Also, there are many good day-use hot spring facilities in Hakodate Onuma, so please use them.

・ 2 rooms with 2 single beds
・ Shared space (food and drink allowed)
2 wash stands
1 guest-only toilet (unisex)

Other things to note
・ Hütte Mockchan is an accommodation facility based on the concept of a "mountain hut" that has been built for over 40 years.

・ There are no comfortable facilities or excessive services like hotels and inns. Please make a reservation after understanding this.

・ You will not be renting the entire building. Please behave with good manners so that all guests can have a comfortable stay.

・ There is a quiet time between 10 pm and 6 am, but please be considerate of other guests during other times as well. (Please be mindful of the sound of doors opening and closing, footsteps, talking, etc.)

・ The entrance will be locked from 9 pm to 6 am. Please let us know in advance if you plan to return late from sightseeing or depart early in the morning.

・ Please bring your own toothbrush, towels, sleeping clothes, etc. (Rental face towel: ¥300)

・ Because it is a natural environment, there are many insects depending on the season.

・ There is no air conditioning in each room.

・ There is no wifi. I will introduce you to a coworking space nearby.

・ Bonfires are not allowed on windy days.

・ Please feel free to reach out with any questions you have.

My husband and I have been moving to Hokkaido for the seventh year. We met at the Gassan Ski Resort in Yamagata Prefecture and moved to Hokkaido when we got married. Both husband and wife enjoy skiing and snowboarding in winter, surfing and mountain climbing in summer, and traveling by bicycle and motorcycle. We hope you enjoy skiing and snowboarding at our inn, taking advantage of our instructor's experience in Niseko, Tomamu, Rusutsu, and Zao. Communicating in English can sometimes be done using a translation app, but we also look forward to interacting with English-speaking customers.
