Join me for a three-hour curated tour of Istanbul’s contemporary art scene, visiting four iconic galleries and exhibition spaces, each offering a unique perspective on Turkish art.
• Start at Arter, where you’ll explore exhibitions featuring thought-provoking works from local and international artists. I’ll provide context and insights into the themes and techniques behind the works we’re viewing.
• We’ll move on to Galeri Nev, which highlights emerging and established Turkish artists, where you’ll learn about the gallery’s role in shaping contemporary art in Turkey. From there, we’ll visit Pi Artworks, where you’ll discover unique installations and contemporary pieces that challenge boundaries and spark conversations.
• Head to Galeri Zilberman, where we’ll delve into a dynamic mix of exhibitions ranging from painting to multimedia art.
We’ll conclude our art walk at Meşher, a versatile exhibition space that presents historical retrospectives, avant-garde contemporary works, and a range of other themes. Along the way, I’ll share my intimate, insider’s view of the Turkish art world, its history, and its growing global influence.
