Hiking Tabernacle thundering waterfall
Looking for things to do in Santo Domingo? Join me in my favorite hike in Dominican Republic: El Tabernáculo. Difficulty level: -Medium; when you're fit/water level is low (dry/cold season) -High; when you're not fit/water level is high (wet/hot season) It is completely doable in all scenarios. You must not have any injuries, don't need to be an athlete either! (If you want a more challenging experience, book 'Hiking DR's most impressive waterfall') LGBTQ+ friendly experience/vegetarian acommodating. Pickup included in Distrito Nacional. We depart at 6am (pick up might start up to 30 minutes before). It's a 2-hour road trip with beautiful sights of the mountains to get to the town where we are having a typical dominican breakfast. After breakfast, we begin our journey. It's a 3 to 4-hour route within hiking, swimming, climbing, etc. Swimming is mandatory (no need to know how to swim, you'll have a life vest). Water is cold. You can leave your bags in the car while hiking. After hiking, we change clothes (by the car, there's no restroom). Then we go back to the town to have a dominican lunch. We come back happy and with good memories to Santo Domingo at 5pm. Pickups out of town -Bocha Chica $70 -Juan Dolio $80 (round trip. Price for up to 4 people).
Fantastic Adventure to Hidden Waterfall and Historical Cave
Join us to visit this beautiful hidden waterfall in the greenest province of the entire Dominican Republic, Monte Plata. This is a 20-meter-high natural monument located in Bayaguana, where we will enjoy the clean air, the spectacular views, and the great flora that surrounds this wonderful waterfall. We will meet at 8:00 am at the meeting point, to go to the waterfall 50 minutes from Santo Domingo, enjoying the landscapes that the road gives us, while we have breakfast on board. Along the way, we will talk about the history of the island, beautiful places in the DR and get to know each other better. When we arrive at the Cascada, Doña Ramona will wait for us, who will cook our traditional Dominican lunch (al carbon), as they used to cook in the 1900's on our island. Once ready, we will walk for around 15 minutes and we will go into the jungle to reach the beautiful hidden waterfall. It is a steep path but not difficult to cross, (I recommend comfortable shoes to avoid falling) We will explore the waterfall, take photos in it, enjoy the water and the beauty of nature for about two and a half hours and then return to the starting point to enjoy our lunch, chat, rest, and then start out trip back to Santo Domingo stoping by un the three eyes cave learning about history and this fantastic place an beautiful nature monument, after that we gonna head to out meeting point.

Located in Arroyo Santa Cruz, near Aguacate Dam. A kind of natural canyon or cave with a waterfall in its center, the perfect refuge for an adventure. The adventure begins at 6am at the meeting point. It’s a two hour drive to the town where we are having a Dominican breakfast. After breakfast we start the hike, which is around 3-4 hours total. This is beautiful hike full of natural pools, waterfalls and an amazing natural slide, where we will slide, climb with ropes and swim in those crystalline waters. I’ll be capturing all this moments with my camara :) Here we’ll have some incredible virgin sights, where we could capture the best moments in photographs. After that exciting experience we are going to have a wonderful lunch cooked by a Local Grandma, she prepare the most delicious Dominican Typical Dishes, Normally the popular Dominican Flag, White Rice, Red Beans And Stew Chicken accompanied with Juice, Salads, Coffee and More, (Can be modified in Vegetarian cases). Los Cacaos is a little farmer town, the growth their own food, and everything the use its organic, we are going to be in touch with great locals, this experience also help them improve their quality life. Hiking across the amazing Nizao River
Let’s know one of the most beautiful Rivers around San Cristobal Province full of natural pools and amazing panoramics views across the mountains, Rio Nizao Located in the community of Los Cacaos and small countryside. The adventure begins at 6am at the meeting point. It’s a two hour drive t where we are having our Dominican breakfast. After breakfast we start the hike, basically we are going to hike trough a river around 20 minutes to get the first natural pool, then adventure continues swimming in natural pools through a river with clear emerald waters. A perfect place to disconnect internet and conect with nature, swim and have fun and just enjoy the most fresh clear waters.(Don’t know how to swim, it doesn’t matter, life jackets are included). Time estimate for the hiking 3-4 hour, plain walk, the difficulty level of the route is medium. Its recommended to be in good physical condition and healthy. A certain level of resistance is required. At the end of the route, we are going to taste the flavors of local cuisine, a delicious typical lunch wait for us, made by the best hands in the area, accompanied by natural juice or water. The most popular dish: The Dominican Flag (Rice, Reed Beans & stew chiken) can be lightly modified (vegan cases). Finally, we would be coming back to Santo Domingo at around 5-6pm

Let's explore and experience La Zona Colonial from the eyes of a local with an international perspective! First thing first, let's get personal... Let's meet at a local colmado (or coffee shop if you prefer) and get to know each other, I have found the best time starts when there is confidence so let's start with that, I will also share important information about Dominican Republic and the lifestyle. Now, let's walk towards La Tarazana! On the way we will stop at main attractions, the best bars to cool down, and other hidden gems. Main places that we will be visiting: - Santa Regina Church - Maraca Restaurant and bistro - Duarte Park - The Cathedral - Museum of Sugar and Cane rooftop - Fortaleza Ozama - La Tarazana - House of Rum Bar and museum I grew up in this area and is my favorite area of the city to party and hang out with friends / family so I know it well. I have lived in Mexico, France, Turkey, US and Switzerland so got lot of friends from different nationalities who have visited and loved the experience, always thanking me for being their guide and had a great time.
Sandboarding & snorkeling at the Dominican desert
Looking for things to do in Dominican Rpublic? Ready to explore the Dominican desert and its sand dunes, salt ponds and coral reefs? We depart at 6:30am (Pickup might start up to 30 minutes before), take a 2-hour road trip to Salinas, with some stops on the way. Our first stop is for an authentic Dominican breakfast at a local place. After that, we visit the sand dunes and spend some time learning about them, taking pictures, and of course, sandboarding. I'm not a certified instructor, we're just having fun. No experience required. After having fun at the dunes, we walk through the salt mines and its pink lakes, where we see the salt process and workers taking salt out of the lakes. Our last attraction is playa El Derrumbao, where we are going to do some snorkeling. To get there, we take a 20 minute walk (one way) under the hot sun. We walk into the beach with urchins and grab the goggles to watch the coral reefs and fish underwater. It's beautiful! Then, we walk back and change clothes by the car. There's no dressing room, Then we go back to the same local place for some authentic Dominican lunch. After lunch, we return to Santo Domingo, happy and tired at around 5pm. If you are in Bocha Chica or Juan Dolio, we can arrange an additional pick up (Boca Chica $70/Juan Dolio $80 round trip. Price is for up to 7 people)

You will be making chocolates right from the cacao bean, also preparying and tasting various cacao or chocolate drinks. You'll leave with your own handmade chocolates, customized the way you like them, to enjoy with your friends and family. There are stairs to get in, so not handicap accesible without help. Our location is small so if some are not going to do the workshop we will try our best to make you feel comfortable. We are close to a big park filled with bars and also have two bars right here next to us to hang out. Children of all ages welcome!

We'll visit the Indepence Park an important landmark commemorating the Dominican Republic’s struggle for independence. Along the way, you’ll also have the chance to explore local markets, filled with fruits, vegetables, grains, and spices, as well as the spices used in Dominican cuisine. Learn about how Spanish and Arab immigrants brought their influence to the island. Discover the african - spanish religious syncretism of the Dominican Voodoo. We'll learn about the Dominican handmade crafts used in the countryside lifestyle and walk through Little Haiti and China Town to explore the small, picturesque businesses. Bean to bar chocolate workshop
You will be making chocolates right from the cacao bean, also preparying and tasting various cacao or chocolate drinks. You'll leave with your own handmade chocolates, customized the way you like them, to enjoy with your friends and family. There are stairs to get in, so not handicap accesible without help. Our location is small so if some are not going to do the workshop we will try our best to make you feel comfortable. We are close to a big park filled with bars and also have two bars right here next to us to hang out. Children of all ages welcome!
