Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Sanilhac

Well, what can I say. Chloe and Alexandre were absolutely delightful and so easily contactable. The gite was absolutely beautiful with amazing views. We had access to the pool but as we travelled later in the season, we didn't use it. The house had AC in every room and we instantly felt at home. We can't wait to come and stay again.

Florence and Fred are incredibly warm and caring hosts, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Their place is simply exceptional: a magnificent view, an enchanting setting, impeccable cleanliness, and a perfect location to discover all the tourist wonders of the surroundings. We felt at home from the moment we arrived, thanks to their thoughtful welcome and the friendly atmosphere. Everything was impeccable, and their attention to detail really made a difference. Thank you for this memorable experience, we will come back without hesitation!

Cédric’s place was a wonderful homebase for exploring the Dordogne region. The space is thoughtfully arranged, and we were instantly able to relax. The kitchen is well stocked, and the bed is very comfortable. Needless to say, the view of the Dordogne Valley from the patio is exquisite. It’s also an easy walk into the village (La Roque-Gageac is a beautiful/sublime village full of places to stroll and explore). Cédric also offered extremely detailed instructions that made our arrival and stay very easy. He was quick to reply with any/all questions. We’ll be back.

Beautiful, comfortable gîte. We loved the decor and the quality of the furniture, linen etc. Bed was nice and comfy, and the fresh linen a week into our stay was a lovely touch. Catherine and Maxence are charming hosts who were very helpful, including when we needed a document printing out!

the accommodation is very well equipped whether for the kitchen, the sauna, the spa... the room with the video projector... the setting is conducive to relaxation and rest. we really appreciated the cocooning atmosphere, the comfort. everything is fine, great!

We absolutely loved this place. There is masses of space with access to several barns and a huge courtyard which is fenced making it perfect for our two dogs. The pool is beautiful and is a sun trap. It gets the sun until it sets and the sunsets there are stunning. The hiking in the area is incredible and we would walk for at least two hours every morning with our dogs. We used the All Trails app and found some really interesting places. Anne was super friendly and helpful. We definitely want to go back.

The house is as pictured, across 3 storeys. You do need to be careful with the stairs but that was not an issue for us. Quiet town which is great if you want a peaceful holiday. Recommend taking the train to Sarlat for the market there. The house has good kitchen facilities. David was a very welcoming host, picked us up from the train station despite the short journey which was very kind. He also helped with some questions we had about bike hire in the area. We also appreciated the washing machine and drying rack as we had been traveling for a couple of weeks at this point.

Ridwan's apartment is a great choice for travelers passing through Bergerac, it is very nice, clean and very well located. It has all the comforts for a great stay. The owners are very responsive, friendly and the check-in instructions are very clear , I would 100% recommend this accommodation!

George, Ringo and Twiggy were excellent hosts, ably assisted by their humble assistant Tegan :-) The accommodation is gorgeous and exactly as described and situated in the grounds of a large house and beautiful garden. The apartment is well equipped and extremely comfortable. The weather was very warm, but fans are supplied, which did a good job of keeping the space comfortable. Breakfast was a delight with plenty of choice, served daily in the main house. It was also a lovely opportunity to chat to other guests. The garden was lovely, as was the pool and having access to a BBQ was a nice addition. Parking is ample both inside the courtyard and in the car park next door (free) and the house is well situated with the train station being a quick 10 minute walk away, opening up plenty of links to neighbouring towns and villages for exploration.

We had a pleasant stay in La Grange du Mas Coutant. This gite is located in a beautiful estate with an unspoiled natural environment. Agathe is a welcoming and responsive host in case of any problems.

Superb accommodation, quality services, ideally located in the heart of the historic town of Périgueux, 5 minutes from the banks of Lisle for beautiful walks. I highly recommend this place to stay.

Marion and Adrien were great, as was the apartment. Great renovation, comfortable and a great mix of modern and charm. Roque Gargeac is really beautiful, but at end of season was quite quiet, restaurant closed etc...nothing to do with Marion and Adrien, they were always open and super. go place a break and remote working.

Had a fantastic week at this beautiful gite. It's so peaceful, private and a perfect place to relax and unwind. It has been renovated to a very high standard and is absolutely spotless, comfortable and well equipped. We felt right at home here. We very much enjoyed the pool and the log burner (on a couple of chilly nights) and the ability to log into our Netflix account. The surrounding area is very beautiful, with lots of stunning villages and castles to visit. Anemone is a great host and really helpful and friendly. All in all, we could not have had a more perfect week and would definitely return.

We had a great week staying in Laurence & JP’s house. It was in a beautiful location, very quiet and relaxing. The house was very old and characterful but at the same had everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful and although the weather wasn’t the best there were some amazing places to visit and the local food markets were amazing. Laurence & JP were really friendly and it was great to meet them. I would definitely recommend a stay here. We are hoping to return.

We had a great week at David's house which is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Very pleasant flowery garden. David is an available and attentive host. Everything was very smooth between us. We highly recommend this rental.

This house is special, the first airbnb that we revisited, and we have seen a few. Beautiful garden, views, feeling of space inside and out. Kitchen, bedrooms with big and good beds, bathrooms, pool, everything is more than adequate. Hosts are friendly and responsive. We will undoubtedly be back for a third time soon…

Beautiful property, with 5 comfortable bedrooms each with its own bathroom. The villa is within walking distance of the center of the city in 10min. We really appreciated the view and terrace. Everything matches the photos. Beautiful area that has plenty of activities. Great!

A beautiful slice of paradise. Natalie and Tim were the perfect hosts. Providing information pre arrival on things to do in the area, arranging a welcome buffet for our first night and making homemade pizzas by the pool for our final evening there. They were kind and welcoming throughout and thought about the details that made the holiday really relaxing. The accommodation is beautiful. The linen and bedding are luxurious and the outdoor space totally idyllic. Figs and plums from the garden at breakfast were a delightful extra with our daily delivery of croissants and baguettes. The pool area has a stunning view and a perfect spot to take in sunset. My friends and I loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.

I cannot overstate how much we enjoyed our stay in this comfy, roomy, well-appointed house with its spectacular views. Named “Le Pêcheur,” perhaps for those who fish on the nearby Dordogne River, this recently-renovated farmhouse is the perfect base to explore the area that is, in my opinion, the prettiest part of the Dordogne Valley, with its exquisite villages and numerous châteaux. We awoke to see the fog that fills the valley in the early mornings, with hot air balloons already afloat. A short walk down a path is tucked a large pool where we could sun ourselves and enjoy little picnics of bread, cheeses and sausages from local marketplaces. (If you can, go to the Sunday market in nearby Saint-Cyprien—find the stall with the honey walnut bread!—or the larger one on Wednesdays and Saturdays in Sarlat.) Didier was an attentive host, and Michèle greeted us and saw us off when we left. We were sad to leave here and would love to come back. C’est un vrai paradis!

Spectacular stay at Le Cheval Blanc! We loved our week at this large but charming house in the countryside. Beautiful, clean and cozy bedrooms! Large comfortable living room area with a wood stove that came in handy in the unusually cool September. The kitchen-wow. The best appointed kitchen we have ever encountered! And then, there are the hosts that went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal. Delicious welcome meal and a well stocked fridge to get us started. Bill and Jill were friendly and very helpful. Walks in the area possible. Many villages to visit within an hour or two. It was an amazing week. You should stay at Le Cheval Blanc!
