Apple Strudel baking lesson & Lunch
Roll up your sleeves for an Austrian cooking class in Salzburg, and create two of the country’s favourite desserts: apple strudel and Salzburger Nockerl, a light soufflé what mirrows Salzburg’s baroque atmosphere. Under the guidance of a chef, you’ll stretch pastry and mix ingredients as you learn about the food and chat with the rest of the group. As a bonus, a hearty bowl of goulash soup is served before you eat your creations.
Follow in the footsteps of Maria
During this walk we will visit the famous filming locations of the movie The Sound of Music in the centre of Salzburg. We will see the scenes from Do Re Mi, I have confidence, just to mention a couple. If you enjoy singing we can sing the songs and even reenact the scenes! You will also hear about the real Von Trapp family, their true story. I will share with you some fun stories about the filming and the actors and actresses as well. At the same time you will be walking through Salzburg, its baroque gardens, opulent squares; amongst its many churches and hills, across its river the Salzach and along its narrow streets with beautiful pastel coloured houses. Towards the end of our tour you will experience incredible views of the Old Town of Salzburg and the mountains. If you don't see a date and time that fits your plans please get in touch. Other things to note Please arrive to the meeting point 10 minutes before start time. There will be opportunities to use public restrooms during our walk.
Walk My Favorite Things in Salzburg
Let me show you my personal favorites in Salzburg, what made me fall in love with this city 8 years ago when I moved here during this lovely walk! Of course I will include the locations that you cannot miss while you are visiting, but perhaps from a different angle. I will point out places, art pieces, views and share with you stories that you might not discover or hear about otherwise. During this walk we will visit the centre of Salzburg, you will be able to enjoy its baroque gardens, stroll along its river the Salzach, see its opulent squares; walk amongst its many churches and hills, and along its narrow streets with beautiful pastel coloured houses. However, Salzburg is not only about the past, tradition and history. Let me show you this town's modern side, the art pieces, the contrast between old and new, which I personally love! I also think that being introduced to a city doesn't just mean walking around and learning about its past and seeing the sights. I think for the full experience you need to taste the traditional food and drinks, see a concert or visit a museum. That's the reason why I will give you restaurant and cafe recommendations, tell you about events and exhibitions that are happening now. At the end of our tour you will experience incredible views of the Old Town of Salzburg and the mountains. Please contact me if you don't see a time suitable for you. Other things to note How to recognise me: I'll be the one wearing the Austria Guide badge. Please arrive to the meeting point 10 minutes before start time. There will be opportunities to use public restrooms during our walk.
Adventure at Eagle's Nest-Hike Tour
Enjoy a day of adventure combining amazing views and exciting war stories. First stop, meeting at the Obersalzberg! Once, one of the most secretive locations on Earth. From there we will start our hike up to the Eagle´s Nest. Very important to know is that I will navigate you through the mountain, set up an appropriate pace for all and establish breaks every 20 minutes. The hike takes on average 2:30 hours to complete. The distance of the hike up is 4,47 miles (7,2 km) and the gained altitude is 2857 feet (861 meters). The terrain is not technical but it is steep, and the forest provides with good coverage from the sun. On top, you will find the famous Eagle's Nest on the exact same way it was found in 1945 by the men of the 101's . There we will enjoy the rewards of our hike. Astonishing views, a picnic in the mountain (take the food you want to eat with you) or a visit to the restaurant. After exploring the alpine terrain, we will ride down (bus) the mountain back to the Obersalzberg where will finish exploring the area! The forest is filled with secret locations that tell the story of WWII, from the rise and fall of the third Reich(Hitler's Berghof, secret access to the bunkers, etc) that most people will never visit when in the area. The tour can be booked for groups.

DoReMi Sound of Music deluxe E-bike all season Salzburg Tour
We will ride effortlessly on the comfort of top-quality E-bikes through the lovely green areas of Salzburg to the original Trapp family home, then ride by the Salzach River and horse pastures to the amazing Hellbrunn Palace and Gardens, where the film gazebo is located. We will ride down a lovely breathtaking nature Allee, lined by huge old oak trees, used only for horses, bikes and pedestrians, where we will see the palace that was the film location for the Trapp home. We will ride mostly along the flat Salzburg valley floor by pastures & several 400-year-old palaces to then see the Leopoldskron Palace, which is where all the terrace scenes were filmed behind the Trapp home and where the pond is located where Maria & the children fell from the boat. We will then ride to the Nonnberg Abbey, which is where the outside of the Abbey scenes were filmed and where the real Maria & Georg were married. We will then tour the remaining filming sites in the old town including seeing the oldest monastery north of the Alps, St. Peter's. There we will see its cemetery, which was the inspiration for the cemetery in the film. You will get a great overview of all the best sites and historical landmarks in Salzburg's old city and surrounding countryside! In case of inclement weather when it is too cold or rainy to ride, we can shift over to a bus & walking version of my tour, using umbrellas.

Running Salzburg

Explore Hallstatt with a photographer
Together we will discover and explore Hallstatt, probably the most photogenic mountain gem in the Austrian Alps. I was born and raised in this region and I'm quite confident to say that I know every single corner of this village ;) The tour will take at least about 2 hours. We will cover the obvious "touristy" postcard photo spots, but I will also show you some hidden hideaways. I will take pictures and provide between 20-30 edited HI-RES pictures on the same day the tour takes place via Dropbox link. PLEASE NOTE: I'm a licensed tourist guide (certified in accordance with the stipulations of Europen Norm EN 15565:2008) AND photographer, so you get the best of both worlds - a well structured tour about the history & culture of Hallstatt, plus professional pictures. If there is no availibility for the day you want to visit Hallstatt, please get in conctact with me, maybe we can arrange an alternative starting time. Also if you are looking for a proposals/pre-wedding/engagement shooting, just send me a message, I do these kind of shoots on a regular basis and know the best spots for these kind of photos Other things to note Hallstatt is a really small village, so you will definitely will see all parts of it in these approx. two hours tour :)
