House vacation rentals in Saint Joseph

We had a very enjoyable stay with beautiful views. A lovely Villa, clean with lots of space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The host was very responsive and dealt with any issues very quickly. We certainly recommend it.

My feedback is from the perspective of a first time visitor to the island. This home is about a 30 minute drive from most areas you might want to visit on the island. The roads in Barbados are a bit challenging, so be prepared for some interesting rides. My overall thoughts of the home and location are that this is the perfect home for you if you want to "experience" Barbados and do more than visit touristy spots on the island. The house has an amazing view of the ocean, a constant cool breeze, and lovely sounds of waves from the lovely deck area with a relaxing hammock. We spent most of our time at the house sitting there. The pool was well maintained and refreshing in the heat. We had daily morning visits from the local monkeys. They didn't come to the sitting areas, but they were fun to see. Since there isn't air conditioning, it is best to leave windows open which sometimes allows birds, geckos and other insects inside. If this will bother you, then you might want to go elsewhere.

A lovely single story villa nestled amongst mahogany trees. The photos are representative - whilst the furnishings and fixtures are all a bit dated and sometimes rough round the edges, it was all thoroughly charming, well provisioned and made for a very comfortable base…and the deck is a great place to while away hours relaxing in the breeze. The location of the villa is great and quite ‘strategic’ for a holiday exploring. You’re close to the highway so it’s easy to head out and hit the road; heading further inland to see the various sites in the hills, over to the east coast, or otherwise an easy 10/15mins drive to Holetown or wherever you’re heading on the west coast. All in all a good value base camp for a group of family - thanks for a lovely stay 👍🏼

We had a phenomenal stay at Ancient Grove to celebrate our wedding. Perfect for the whole family. With very spacious bedrooms and living areas. We especially loved the outdoor seating space where we could enjoy our morning coffee; would highly recommend!

Little Diamond is a lovely getaway and the community it is in is equally wonderful. The property manager was extremely kind and always available. Beautiful spot to rest and relax!

Thanks for a fantastic stay! Liz is a great host, very welcoming and full of excellent local recommendations for restaurants and bars etc. Very helpful and available for advice if needed. Plus, nothing quite starts off your holiday like the homemade rum punch waiting us on arrival! We really loved the house, clean and spacious and a great place to relax whilst away. A real home from home. Vuemont is a quiet and secure development off the beaten track, so would recommend a hire car to get about. It is set in beautiful mature gardens and overlooking a wild valley at the back so expect to be visited by monkeys, mongoose and a variety of wonderful birdlife throughout the day.. We will definitely be heading back!

Lovely villa in a quiet and relaxing estate. Much nicer than the photos suggest. Clean and tidy. The owner provided a few provisions for us which was greatly appreciated as we didn’t arrive until 8pm. Very flexible with check in and out. Comfortable beds and other furniture and lovely deck area. Great to have ac in the bedrooms. The communal pools are lovely and we did use the tennis courts as well. Because it is high up on the hills, you get a lovely breeze and great views from the estate. Would definitely stay again.

Great location for the Kensington Oval and the beach and easy and cheap access via public transport for Bridgetown to the South, Holestown and Speightstown to the North. Friendly owner who is on hand when needed

Great, off the beaten path location. Tranquil. We saw a sea turtle right off the porch every morning. Other wildlife in the yard as well, including monkeys. No AC or heat, we very comfortable with fans and ocean breeze. Plan on cooking at least some. Roadside stands are a much better price than the grocery store for fresh fruit and veggies. The fish dock is a couple minute walk away.

It was a good deal for what we paid on a short notice. Close to amazing beaches, nearby shops and supermarkets.

Our time at Hillside View was a much needed relaxing stay. The house is filled with interesting art, impeccably clean, with immaculately kept gardens. Not only was there the option to have a small car included in the booking, there was also a secure shared laundry room, as the house has a seperate apartment, which worked out fine. It proved to be the ideal accommodation especially since we visited for the purposes of surfing. A car really helped with our many trips to Bathsheba transporting our surfboards and getting around the island. Holetown and the West Coast Beaches are just a 10/15 minute drive away so we were able to get our grocery shopping quite conveniently. We also enjoyed the more elaborate West Coast location of Limegrove which hosts a luxury cinema and great places to eat, drink and shop. Walking distance from the house we visited a local shop/bar selling freshly cooked cuisine and basic essentials. The neighbours were very friendly. Gloria was an amazing host. Thanks
