A nice room in a basic apartment in a very quiet and safe neighborhood close to public transportation. 15-minute subway commute downtown. The rest of the small building is occupied by my family members, so I'm looking for someone quiet and clean, kind and understanding. This listing is new to Airbnb, though I've had it as a rental for several years now and all my experiences have been positive. The typical stay is 3-6 months.
This 3-story apartment building is owned by my family. In addition to a few tenants, the occupants are my grandma, uncle, aunt, father and brother. We like to treat this place like a home and prefer tenants who are very respectful, quiet, easy-going, drug-free, and drama-free.
The other roommate in this 2-bedroom apartment is a 30-year old male. He's been here over a year and he's chill. Recently, his wife has come over to San Francisco and she's staying with him here while they look for their own place, so there will be two people occupying the room down the hall. They're cool though.
The neighborhood is nice, very quiet and residential. There are shops and restaurants a few blocks away, but no nightlife/bars/clubs, which is good if you like peace and quiet.
Public transportation is a breeze. Walk a few blocks to West Portal Station and you can catch one of three trains to get downtown in 10-15 minutes. Lyft/Uber is an option, too.
If you like the beach, we're a couple miles away and you can walk (downhill) there in 30 minutes, or catch the bus. If you like the mountains, we have some great hills nearby with lots of trees (Twin Peaks, Mt. Davidson, Forest Hill).
