Peaceful Boutique Cottage Top of Main St. Historic & Modern.
Open the door of this urban cottage and enter a modern, artful & quiet space. Curl up on the leather sofa or nestle into the massage chair in front of the fireplace after a fun day exploring the trails & many fun things to do in Park City. Unique ceilings are found throughout, along with other retro touches. Rooms are designed for comfort & relaxation, with cushions galore, a library of books & very high speed internet (800/40+). Make a meal in the fully stocked kitchen or walk just a couple minutes down Main Street to one of the many award-winning restaurants of Park City's Historic District. "The 24 Daly Home" is a thoughtfully renovated 1100 square foot historic home with modern design located right at the top of Main Street. Beautiful old miner's home remodeled with all new mechanical systems and decorated in a calm, modern style, while retaining the original structure & certain elements to highlight the historical aspects of this piece of Park City's once-thriving mining community Some reviews from travelers that have stayed at the home: "Wow! That is all I can say. Talk about comfort, luxury and relaxation. A perfect place to crash after mountain recreation or Main Street entertainment. Unbelievable hospitality and the nicest decor I could imagine. I did NOT want to leave!" "This house is a little treasure in the heart of Park City - quite a find! It's an easy stroll from the restaurants on Main Street, or you can catch the trolley which stops right outside the front door. No need to fight for parking! The house itself is very cozy yet classy. The owners didn't miss a touch, from the fluffy white robes in the antique closets to the jacuzzi nestled in the back. We loved our stay there and highly recommend it." "We stayed at 24 Daly in Park City and absolutely loved it! It is perfect all the way around - location, accommodations and terrific owners. We can't wait to go back!" "The owners have thought of everything in designing and furnishing this home for visitors. From the wonderful hot tub, massage chair, sandals, robes, completely furnished kitchen, cozy bedrooms, unbelievable bedding - the most comfortable mattresses we have slept on, everything about it was great. " "It's super convenient to Main St. shopping and restaurants -- walking distance from everything on Historic Main St. It's right at the top of Main St. and across from the Trolley, so very easy to get around and a quick trolley ride to the transit station and then a few minutes to Deer Valley by bus or car. Beautifully appointed home, with attention to details. Plus, we loved the hot tub in the back yard. Private and wonderful after a long day of skiing. The owners are a pleasure to work with and super responsive, although we didn't need a thing. Everything was perfect!" "We loved every minute of our stay. The host has created a perfect home away from home. Beautifully decorated, beds comfortable and cozy with lovely soft sheets. The amenities are so great. Not one detail missed. Do not miss this wonderful gem. Enjoy." "The home has a hot tub and a massage chair. At first I thought the massage chair might have been too much, but it was necessary if you spend a full day on the ski slopes. I can't imagine living without that combo now after skiing." "We loved the proximity to town - just a short walk down the hill and a relatively easy walk back up. Each morning we shouldered our skis and walked up towards the mountain 3 blocks to step right onto the ski trails. For those who would rather ride down to the Town LIft, the trolley stops just steps outside the door starting at 10. We were up and down the hill several times a day enjoying the many restaurants and shops in Historic Park City. Mary Beth and Mark are great hosts. We can't wait to return." We will be happy to try to meet you at the home, or we can offer you as much privacy as you like. Your choice! The cottage is located at the top of historic Main Street. It's a short walk to Old Town's shops, galleries, and restaurants—but the cottage is in a quiet spot. NEW for Summer 2020 ~ The City just installed a Summit Bike Share electric bike station a couple hundred yards from the home (about a 3 minute walk) that gives you access to the electric bike share program anytime in the warmer months. The electric bikes are a great way to explore town. The Main Street Trolley stops about 30-40 steps from the home. It goes up and down Main St and to the Old Town Transit Center, where you can take free buses to all 3 resorts and places like the factory outlet mall, grocery stores, etc. Minimum stays: winter ski season = 5 nights Sundance Film Festival = 9 nights all other = 2 nights The cottage is located at the top of historic Main Street. It's a quick walk to Old Town's shops, galleries & restaurants—but the cottage is in a quiet spot. It's also fun to sit on the front porch in the rocking chairs and chat with hikers and neighbors. The City installed an electric bike station a couple hundred yards from the home (about a 3 minute walk) that gives you access to the electric bike share program anytime in the warmer months. The electric bikes are a great way to explore town.

Your guide to Park City

All About Park City

Tucked within the Wasatch Mountains in western Utah, Park City is a small town known for its stunning mountain backdrop, dozens of scenic highways, and activities both on and off the slopes. The town is a year-round destination, with visitors coming here to soak up the arts during the international film festival and outdoor concert series, and to embrace the outdoors by skiing, mountain biking, fishing, and hiking.

The town is surrounded by spruce-, pine-, and aspen-lined forests and miles of panoramic drives. Bordering Park City to the north and the west are the Wasatch Mountains, where you’ll find two world-class ski resorts in close proximity to the city. The mountains join the Uinta wilderness for two million acres at the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, just 35 minutes from Park City and home to hundreds of miles of trails that wind their way around peaks, canyons, and lakes. Rare animal sightings in the forest can include black bears, mountain lions, elk, moose, and mountain goats, among many others.

Less than 30 minutes east of Park City, the Mirror Lake Byway twists through the Uinta Mountains, offering stops at waterfalls along the Provo River and massive freshwater lakes set within the forest valleys.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Park City

Autumn is cool in Park City and it gets cold at night, with snow usually starting in November. This is also the season when the trees turn shades of yellow, orange, and red — best witnessed by a scenic drive or hike through the Wasatch Mountains. Cold and snowy winters are ideal for outdoor sports ranging from tubing to cross-country skiing. A world-famous film festival also visits Park City this time of year, with many up-and-coming actors and directors making debuts in venues spread across town.

Spring stays cold until May, when the snow begins to melt. The month-long Spring Gruv festival occurs from March to April, when you’ll find outdoor concerts, ice sculpting competitions, and the annual pond skimming competition, where competitors ski over a 100-foot, frozen pond. Summers are pleasant, warm, and dry, and in August, the Kimball Arts Festival fills Park City’s Main Street with 200 tents populated by artists from around the country.

Top things to do in Park City

Wasatch Mountain State Park

The Wasatch Mountain State Park covers nearly 22,000 acres, offering dozens of hike and bike trails. You’ll have opportunities to spot local wildlife along the one-mile Cascade Springs Trail, where you might find large mammals, including moose and elk, or birds like the wild turkey and red-tailed hawk. As you wander the paved trail, you’ll eventually reach the waterfall and freshwater streams at Cascade Springs, surrounded by towering mountains.

Guardsman Pass Scenic Byway

The Guardsman Pass Scenic Byway winds through 15 miles of forested mountains, connecting Park City with the Big Cottonwood Canyon. Depending on the season, the landscape ranges from fall's yellow-hued foliage to snow-capped scenes in winter, to fields of Indian paintbrush and orchid wildflowers in spring and summer. You can stop at the Guardsman Pass Overlook summit for sweeping views of the Uinta Mountains, one of the US’s highest mountain ranges.

Park City Museum

The Park City Museum, located in the downtown area, offers an interactive walkthrough of the region’s history, starting with its early inhabitants before moving on to its mining years and finally to its more recent days as a sought-after ski destination. Permanent and rotating exhibits feature historic photographs, oral histories, and life-size replicas and artifacts of objects important to the town’s past. After a few hours of exploring, grab a bite to eat at one of the restaurants or cafes also on Main Street.
