Open all year around, when it's sunny, this is one of my prefered activities is to take "the cog railway to the sky" . An activity for all: children & adults you will love to discover the observation platform at 3 089m. The panorama is superb, an open view at 360°, you will see the entire panorama of the Alps, glaciers, 29 mountains over 4 000m, the impressive Matterhorn. For me it's a place you must visit.

If you want to know more about Zermatt take a 2 hour guided tour of the village organised by the tourism board. With a professionnal guide you will be able to have all your questions answered and learn more on this exclusive old village & its history.

If this is your first stay in Zermatt then the first thing tol do is to look for the Matterhorn. It's mystical and majestic, it's one of the most beautiful mountains I've ever seen. It's simply fascinating. And for the ones who have already had the chance to see it once, they will confirm that the first thing they do when they arrive in Zermatt is to run to the main street just to see it. This mountain is changing all the time, color, light, "hat cloud" - none of your pictures will be the same : blue sky, snow time, morning, evening and full moon, this will give you some fantastic pictures to bring back.

Getting Around
Very Important: Zermatt is car free. The best is always to travel by train in Switzerland. But If you do travel by car, you will have to leave it in Täsch (parking on extra charge) and take the train to Zermatt (around 20 mn) or use a private transfer company (I will be please to help you to book your private transfers). When you arrive in Zermatt train station, we are 3 minutes’ walk from there. If you don’t want to walk you can always use the Electro Taxi (on extra charge). Enjoy your trip to Zermatt.
