Drinks & Nightlife

The Narrows is my FAVORITE Bar- late nite food spot. I'll tell you why. it's rock n roll, art deco, and it's very NYC. While I can appreciate everyones recycled Brooklyn aesthetic because it's filled with good intensions, it also makes me want to gag. If I see one more Edison bulb I just will paint the town black. Sometimes Brooklyn feels like a fake store front for disneyland and I just thank the Heavens the Narrows exists. The backyard is ok, But I prefer the interior where we can dress up and worship each other like bats- over candle light in sleek black booths - face to face.

Food Scene

Ok there's a long line here at nite- SO do yourself a favor and just dont go. Unless you want to develop bad self esteem and that over whelming feeling that your just a notch on their belt. INSTEAD go during the week day and request a seat by the wood burning stove on a cold day. Snuggle up with your family or loved ones and watch a radio station session occur in the background. While they are known for their pizza I prefer the items on the dinner menu. They are less bread oriented and more uniquely flavorful. If you've got to have it in the evening- do the take out and recreate the atmosphere somewhere else.

If Robertas had a little more style and FUNK it would be this place. It's sexy and delicious- rustic and glamorously tight seating conditions. The grilled octopus is the BEST I've ever had.

So weird and good. Its part asian, part Jetsons, part beetle juice. But the crowd is anything but those things which makes it even more awesomely confusing. The FOOD is amazing. It's just a a strange good ol' nyc downtown scene.

YES YES YES. these ladies started their shop a 1/2 block away small hole in the wall boutique and now they are taking the fashion world by storm. MOSTLY, because they dont give a F about the fashion timeline, instead they focus on style and the environment. All clothes are made from recycled or found materials, but smartly enough the style is rock n roll glam. Genius.
