We like the local places. This is a micro-brewery, so it is casual. There isn't anything on their menu that isn't good, but we like the wings and pizzas. You can also get a bocce ball game going on their courts for added entertainment.

Another local spot. It is located just across the river and is a great place to hang out and socialize. They provide excellent food, often have entertainment and the most beautiful view of the capitol.

The Veit's family have owned and operated restaurants in Jefferson City for years. Their mushroom and onion ring appetizers are fabulous. Everything we have tried is very good, but their fried chicken is the best!

Inside, explore more than 3,000 square-feet of exhibits that lead you through a myriad of Missouri's natural habitats. Featured in the exhibit area are a 3,580 gallon fish aquarium, live amphibians and reptiles, hands-on activities for children, an indoor wildlife viewing area, a nature library, a small gift shop and other displays. Venture outside to discover more than two miles of hiking trails, open daily, 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Also, you can climb a 60 foot fire-tower for a panoramic view of the city and the area's dramatically rolling landscape. The Naturescape Trail is handicap accessible. Self-guided tours available; naturalist-led programs by advance notice.
