Entertainment & Activities

The best thing you'll get to a traditional British seaside resort inland! Has lots to see and do and Matlock town (beyond Matlock Bath) has a nice park on the river and some nice shops to amble around. Take a walk up the hill and you will also get great views.

Sightseeing

The cathedral quarter of Derby is the oldest and in our view the nicest part of Derby. The cathedral is very pretty and you may want to climb the tower and see the views from the top (when open so best to check). This area is also home to Bennetts a very traditional department store and some lovely clothing boutiques and restaurants.

Needs little introduction if you like your stately homes this is the one! Also has lovely gardens and outdoor play areas that are very child friendly and a farm shop to bring some nibbles back to the chapel after a lovely day out.
