This is probably the best market in Christchurch or I have heard - in New Zealand. It has a wonderful range of food stalls, from fresh salmon, oyster pies, delicious cup cakes, Okonomiyaki and the perfect Christchurch coffee. Topped off by live music. Open almost every Saturday from 9am - 1pm! A must for any Christchurch Visitor.

A little American with pancakes, maple syrup but you can still get a healthy fruit salad and a strong coffee if you desire! Open 6.30am - 2pm during week days and 7am - 2pm on weekends. I would call first if you can!

This is an historic early home of Christchurch which was originally owned by the Deans family and gives some of us a connection to our English Histroy. The Deans family also gifted to Christchurch the land on which lies a piece of original Native Bush which has been preserved and is now cared for with attention and pride. The is a must visit for Tourists and a favourite amoung locals. Open most days for tours of the house. For a peaceful visit, go during the week or Sunday, but if you like a little Vibe with music, food and coffee choose a Saturday morning for Market Day!
