The patio is so wonderful and they feature live Brazilian music during warmer months!! Try the caipirinhas and yuca fries, black beans and rice. The vegetarian plate is my favorite, but there is something there for everyone, whether you prefer seafood or meat or vegetarian.

Explore Doan Brook and walk east to the Shaker Lakes and keep an eye out for the turtles, cranes and other wildlife! Lovely. The nature center has educational programs that you can join in as well as some social events.

The farmers market at Shaker Square is about a 5 minute walk from the house. It is open on Saturdays 8AM to Noon, year round --during the warmer months it's outdoors on Shaker Blvd and during the colder months it's indoors between CVS and Dewey's Coffee house. It's wonderful to be able to buy local, fresh produce and many of it is organic. Local honey, freshly baked bread, pastries, gluten-free items, fresh eggs and milk. Reduce the impact of pollution from shipping food from across the country and shop local!! Bring reusable bags--I leave some in the house for your use. Thank you!
