Getting around

Driving in Pittsburgh is a unique adventure

The city was build on a triangle due to the configuration of the rivers and the hilly terrain, for visitors that are used to driving in cities built on a grid this can cause some frustration. The city uses colored circular belts (think of the game Candyland) that are useful in navigating the city. Pittsburgh drivers are mostly courteous but be aware of drivers that make right hand turns from left lanes, and vice versa.
