Food scene
Angler's Restaurant is our local favorite for catfish sandwiches, but most especially for the hush puppies and craft beers. I'm willing to bet that the hush puppies will be the best you've ever had. The bar area has the nicest seating and the patio seating is nice. NOTE: they close for the winter season from 12/1-3/1 each year.

You may get to see the roasting process, the barista training center, and the coffee "sommelier" that sips and tests product quality! Stunning cafe with great outdoor seating options. The coffee house also houses a bakery where you may see the bakers at work. Super fun trip!

Wow! This place is the best traditional Italian food that I've had in a long time. Every course was delicious. Plan to be on the waitlist and walk around because this is a busy, popular place.

Sightseeing
This lake is beautiful and offers some great mountain biking and hiking trails. https://bikeeurekasprings.com/
They also have many gorgeous hiking trails. My two favorite trails are: "Twin Knobs" trail and “Shoreline” trail. Twin Knobs can be accessed near the soccer/ball fields-all the way to the back and right. It's covered and shady-so nice on those warmer days. It's got some hills and inclines but isn't really, really hard. It's 3.2 miles but you don't have to do the whole thing. Bring good shoes and make sure to take a pic of the map trail before you head into the woods. This is only 5 minutes from the cabins.
Dogs are welcome on these trails! SHORELINE trail goes right along the shore of the lake for a good distance and then recedes back into the woods. Gorgeous!
