Houston's

$$$ “Located on the Intercoastal Waterway, Houston's features a spacious outdoor patio with soothing views of the water and the Atlantic Boulevard drawbridge in operation.” MY RECOMMENDATION: Start with an artichoke dip for the table and then for the main dish, order the Barbecue pork ribs with a fully loaded potato on the side! One of the best ribs you can eat in Pompano.

Sea Watch On the Ocean

$$$ “Refined seafood restaurant with old-time Florida decor & sweeping ocean views.” MY RECOMMENDATION: This is a locals favorite you don’t want to miss. On Sundays at 5pm they have a Special Menu which is $23 for an appetizer, main course and dessert. It’s a great deal and the food is amazing! My parents love the clam chowder and the oysters, I love the blackened mahi mahi and my fiance loves the lobster tails… bottom line, everything is delicious! Oh and don’t forget the key lime pie at the end, it’s the best in the area for sure.

On Sundays at 5pm they have a Special Menu which is $23 for an appetizer, main course and dessert. It’s a great deal and the food is amazing! $$ “A laid back neighborhood spot for locals, and visitors, alike.” MY RECOMMENDATION: The menu has lots and lots of options including a comprehensive kids menu. The ribs are really good, but there should be something in the menu to please everybody. Don’t miss the dessert with kit-kats.

$ “Chili's Grill & Bar is an American casual dining restaurant chain.” MY RECOMMENDATION If you like spicy food, there is a secret plate that it’s not in the menu and it’s amazing: Ask the server for the Buffalo chicken fajitas with blue cheese (without bacon). They usually agree to make them because they used to be in the menu long time ago. ;)

$ “Those in search of an affordable sandwich seek out this “popular”, casual Broward chain for some of “the best hoagies” around, which are piled so high “you must use two hands” to hold everything together; a wait in line comes with “a bit of a show” as “quick” staffers “toss the cold cuts” to catchers with open hoagie rolls (“watch out for flying meat”).” Zagat MY RECOMMENDATION: Ok this is not technically a restaurant but I had to include it in the list because it’s a locals favorite. The best Sandwich you’ll have, this is a great option for a quick and easy lunch or to take to the beach or a boat day.
