Our little town of Redondo is very quaint and quiet. The people are as charming as the town itself. But don’t blink or you’ll miss it. Come to Redondo to reflect, read and relax. Walk the boardwalk and beach, visit the aquarium, rent kayaks and launch your boat during summertime. Use Redondo as a base for your travels to Seattle, Tacoma and surrounding cities. Or just hang at our romantic, cozy beach cottage and stare at the ocean like we do when we’re here. It’s really mesmerizing. And each sunset is unique and truly incredible. The Puget Sound marine life and surrounding pine forest wildlife are also an awesome sight to see. Just like we have, you’ll get hooked on this little town and historical cottage. That’s why we’re sharing it—so you can come back and enjoy it all again and again. Below are some local ideas: -The aquarium at the pier makes for a fun and educational activity for families. -There is a beautiful park and gazebo for family fun in downtown Redondo—just a five minute walk from our property. -Incredible scuba diving (Diving school is located a few miles up the road in Des Moines). -Kayak and paddle board rentals are available at the boat launch (seasonal). -Islands nearby can be visited by boat. We can direct you to boat charters. -Surrounding towns are Des Moines and Federal Way.

Sightseeing

I have to say my absolute favorite way to research a city is by first going to TripAdvisor.com. They have referrals from travelers around the world based on interests and who’s traveling. Sites, restaurants, tours, etc. are all ranked by traveler popularity. We’ve used them many times and have never been disappointed. Once on the site, just type in the surrounding areas and see what strikes your fancy.

This is a must see when in Seattle. See the famous fish market, window shop, visit the indoor flea market, ride the ferris wheel, and eat at seafood favorites Elliot’s, The Crab Pot (our favorite) or Ivars.
