The river view is easy to enjoy while walking along the road which follows along the riverside. It is really safe to move around in the area.

What to pack
Dress up warmly for Winter
WINTER: The necessary clothing for Rovaniemi and Lapland in winter depends on your activity.
Especially for kids. Toes, fingers, and head and ears need to be covered from getting frostbites.
Fortunately, you don't need to go out and spend money hard-core Arctic clothes and shoes.
Minimum recommended clothing for winter.
Underwear long-sleeved or thick wool jumper, ski pants, fleece jacket or jersey + outer jacket, a beanie, warm mittens and scarf. Usually hiking or walking boots are fine. Ideally a little larger than your foot size so you can wear 2 thick wool socks and them still be comfortable.
Here it is a very dry snow, so even if it is snowing very heavily, you won’t get wet because the snow does not melt. You can just shake the snow off as and when required.
