The largest grocery store on the island is in Mindemoya, as well as Maya's store (homemade rye bread, home grown veggies, herbs and ointments, and et al), a couple of hardware stores as well as banks, cafes, gas stations and car wash. Also home to Mindemoya Hospital (EMR).

The second oldest family run General Store in Ontario, still operated by descendants of the original owners, Ward's is an iconic treasure in Tehkummah. Everything you need including the oddest, hardest to find stuff is at Ward's (and may still bear the 1950 price tag!). Also houses an LCBO and fresh produce, as well as essentials like milk, butter and eggs.
