Step back in time, it is the oldest museum in the Netherlands, founded in 1778, with a large collection of arts, various drawings and paintings of the Grand Dutch Masters as well as works of Michelangelo and Raphael, and an exceptional collection of scientific instruments, minerals, stones, coins and fossils . The Oval room is magnificent, a place where they used to make researches and studies with scientific experiments. Its founder, Pieter Teyler van der Hulst, was a Mennonite and follower of the Scottish Enlightenment. The building itself is wonderful, a perfect example of the Renaissance. Each room looks like a treasure to be discovered.
