Food Scene

Located less than 1/2 mile from the house. It offers a warm/cozy environment and is favorite of locals. A couple of my personal favorites are the "Lobster stuffed with lobster" and their prime rib.

With views of the ocean, it is located close to the Oak Bluffs steamship terminal. Casual atmosphere, great food, including sushi. They will close at the end of December and open up at the beginning of April.

My favorite breakfast spot. Opens in April, closes mid October. Located in the center of downtown Edgartown, it offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Unless you arrive when they are opening you can usually expect a wait, but it is well worth it. I love their home made quiche with fresh fruit.

19 Raw opened the summer of 2017 and it is a wonderful addition to Edgartown's food scene. It offers both indoor and outdoor seating. If you like oysters, they offer a wonderful selection. I usually start with them and then move onto my new favorite, their "lobster taco"....YUMMY! They just closed for the season (early November 2018, but hope to be open beginning of April) If you like to sit at the bar, they have a wonderful staff. You can pretty much count on Stewy being at the bar. He makes all feel welcome.

You may hear "Black Dog" and think tourist trap, how good can it be? They offer a great menu at reasonable prices. In addition to Among the Flowers in Edgartown, they are one of my go to places for breakfast. Often if I am catching an early afternoon ferry I will stop in for lunch. They offer incredible burgers and sandwiches.

Drinks & Nightlife

While not open "year round", it is a fun spot April through end of October. Overlooking Edgartown Harbor it provides a picturesque view that can't be beat. While it offers an extensive food menu, I enjoy it for the bar (great staff) and meeting people. Late in the evening they have music.

Want to hang with the locals? Then the Wharf is for you. On one side is a bar area and you can pretty much bet that the person to your left or right lives full time on island. Great spot to catch a game. On the other side is the restaurant and they have an extensive, family friendly menu. If you have never had fried oysters, this is a GREAT place to try them for the first time.
