The caves, located on the bluffs above the Mississippi River, were created as a result of silica mining for glass production. This is the last accessible portion of the caves in Saint Paul. It has been used as a speakeasy, mushroom farm, gangster hangout, restaurant and a blue cheese cave. Now a tour and event space. It is also the starting point for the Saint Paul Gangster Tour (which I haven't undertaken yet). An unexpected surprise. $9.00. http://www.wabashastreetcaves.com
