Transportation

Near the house on Monkstown Ave, the No.4 Dublin bus takes you into Dublin city centre in 40 minutes during the non rush-hour times. The DART train is a 20 minute walk away, down in Monkstown Crescent. It runs along Dublin Bay into city centre and out to Howth to the north. And to the south, it goes to Bray and Greystones.
Monkstown is well-known as a foody spot or 'restaurant row'. There are several different cuisines on offer. Plus there are a couple of good cafes and a pub, all serving very decent food. Avoca is both a fresh food market and a restaurant, named Salt. The Crescent is a 15 minute walk from the house.

In Monkstown, this cafe has great atmosphere, good food and, of course, terrific coffee. A destination cafe.
