Fantastic 4 km hiking trail around the ponds behind the nature center. Lots of bird life and about 2.5km of the walk is in the trees, so it's a great sanctuary to visit in the middle of the city and it's not very busy at all. The nature center also has a unique playground built in a natural setting and a little harmony garden. Great park for the kids for something a little different.

Beautiful little oasis in the middle of the city. There is a walking / cycling path around the ponds that connects to the trails that span the city, you can rent canoes or paddle boats or just enjoy a snack and look at the fountain and bird life in the ponds. There's also a great playground here for the kids. This is where the yearly Canada Day celebrations take place, with performances all afternoon and evening and food vendors all afternoon July 1st every year.
