This market is held at Oude Libertas on a Saturday and it's worth stocking up on cheese, pickles and other bits and pieces. It's worth it just for the bread, from a local bakery, and cheese!

This is a wonderful market to visit with children on a Sunday. There's a lovely selection of food stalls and activities for children. Take a picnic blanket, buy some food and wine, and relax. While you're eating and listening to music, the children can run around. When we were there recently there were tractor rides, little cars on a track, and face-painting.

Jardine at Jordan is not only just around the corner, it is also one of the best restaurants in the Stellenbosch area. The wine pairing menu is recommended as is their signature desert (honey and poppyseed souffle). And the restaurant has stunning views!

We use the Spar Supermarket at Die Boord for our grocery shopping. They have an extensive selection of all types of goods including fruit and veg, and there is a good in-store bakery. They have excellent koeksisters (local sweet pastry) and roti's (for curries).
