There are many good restaurants in Tarifa but here is a list of our all time favourites :)
Delicious Andalusian tapas made with love. It is very busy, the reason you know it's good food, and you might have to wait in line but you can have a beer and talk while waiting, there is a good atmosphere around.

Delicious food with a variety meat and fish plates carefully prepared. It is very busy and hard to get a table so we recommend going a bit early and if you have to wait a bit for your table you can have a beer while waiting and they'll call you. It's definitely worth the wait!

Best Italian restaurant in Tarifa by far. Lovely setup at the beach behind the dunes, great decoration and delicious plates! They make their own pasta and it is one of the most delicious Carbonara we've ever eaten! Quite romantic and also great for families. You'll need the car to go though as it's out of town.

Tiny but authentic local restaurant with pictures of bulls and ham legs hanging all around the place. Safe to say it is not the restaurant you'll want to go for fish. But they prepare some really nice meat plates.

Great pizza place right in the heart of the old town, usually very busy and a good place to start the night. Pizzas are thin and good, served very quickly and you can have nice cocktails as well. Good place to watch football matches too.

Good meat restaurant located right in the heart of where the drinking happens in Tarifa. It is surrounded by cocktail bars so there is often lots of people around, therefore not the quiet type of place. It is open air and they cook exclusively on BBQ which makes their plates delicious.

This is the parking to do the amazing hiking trail called el Buda. Some of the best views you will see of Tarifa and Morocco!! Really worth a visit plus great for a walk in nature.

You can either do a day trip to Tanger or spend a night or two to discover what this beautiful Moroccan city has to offer. There are many daily boats leaving from Tarifa harbour and it takes only 1h to go there. Ask us for recommendations of places to stay or eat.
You will need your passport or Spanish ID for the daily trip. You can also go with a tour guide if you prefer. A Ferry company to go is called FRS.

It's worth spending a day in Gibraltar to visit. In summer time we usually recommend to park in Spain close to the border and walk to pass customs if you want to avoid hours of traffic to get in with your car. Then everything is very close once in Gibraltar.

Another great hiking trail looking over the straight of Gibraltar with amazing views! Definitely worth doing if you like nature and beautiful landscapes. We would not recommend doing it with strong Levante wind as it can be rather unpleasant due to the exposure.

From this point you will have a very nice perspective of Tarifa, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Mediterranean Sea on the other. It is a very nice walk along the beach from the apartment, with stunning sunsets and beautiful views over Tarifa and the beach of Los Lances.

Good spot in case of very strong Levante. You will need to drive 35 min from Tarifa.
Beautiful spot with Levante, usually lighter than in Tarifa but it depends on the season and how strong the Levante is.
You can also watch some nice live concerts in the many bars at the beach. The vibe is really nice in Caños!

In Summer time kitesurfing is not allowed in front of town, but the rest of the year you can simply kite in front of the apartment with Poniente, which is great. With Levante unfortunately you will need to take the car to go kiting.
