There is nothing better than local, hole-in-the-wall places like this. Of course, they are famous for their pies, and they are amazing. My favorite is the blueberry cream pie - it's to die for! Parking Route: From our building, Kuhio Village Tower, on the Kuhio Ave, turn left on the Liliuokalani Ave and check on the two sides. If not, follow it to the end of the street and turn left on the Ala Wai Blvd, more parkings available there. Ala Wai Blvd & Liliuokalani Ave should be the best places to find street parkings! A nice easy hike in the rainforest. Many famous scenes from Jurassic Park, Lost, and Avatar were inspired by scenes from this forest. Appropriate hiking shoes are a must for this hike. The trail can be slippery and quite uneven in some parts. There are bathrooms and a snack shop at the trail head, and a parking lot charging $5 a car. Avoid this hike if it has rained recently as the trail will be very slippery.

One of the top 5 locations for snorkeling in a reef with so many different fish species. Good place for kids to learn from a shore- bring your own food, snorkeling gear, towels , no smoking or drinking alcohol down at the beach. Snorkeling gear rental is $20. Haunauma bay needs to go in really early.... I'd say 7am or they can close it without notice. They usually close around 10 am if there are too many people and you'll have to wait for some hours for it to reopen. Not easy to see much if it's after noon. Morning is the best. You can also checkout Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail next. Paved road, easy hike and maybe you see those Humpback whales splashing in the water if you're lucky

This is a great spot for people that are learning how to snorkel. the water tends to be very shallow though during the low tide which usually happens in the morning. If you show up during the low tide it's almost impossible to swim. You want to check at the tide times before you leave to try to figure out when the best time would be to show up to snorkel. Be careful, it's rocky!
