So many pancakes so little time. You will enjoy anything you try here. Breakfast served until 2pm (when they close). All of Eugene breakfast spots are very busy after 9:30am. This place is very efficient in opening up tables. Worth the wait. Very friendly staff.

16 Tons is our favorite place. The espresso and coffee are excellent! Scott loves the cortado and I love the lavendar lattes. We both enjoy the variety of crepes and you get to choose either buckwheat or wheat flour (gluten free friendly which Sisy appreciates). They also serve lunch, but we prefer other locations for lunches and dinners. Although this is a great place to have a glass of wine, local beers and ciders. Growlers to go too.

Eugene has been shaped by longstanding restaurants like Poppi's Anatolia. Greek cuisine. Very low key and where the downtown professionals eat lunch and dinners. To us this restaurant is very romantic. You will have to decide for yourself. Sisy first took Scott here on their first date. We love the saginaki, kotta psiti and pappadoms. Vindaloo chicken is spicy (Scott's favorite). And try the hibiscus iced tea- lemony and floral, it will quench your thirst. If you are like Sisy and dessert must complete the meal, try the rice pudding (Sisy always orders extra cinnamon). Noonas also make a good chocolate and coconut ending to your meal. Staff is friendly. Keep in mind that this is a Eugene style restaurant and not a fast paced restaurant that you find in a metro. Oregon is peppered with the kinds of restaurants that are good, really good food, with kind people who care to cook and care for the guests.

Not so much a hideaway anymore because the coffee and fresh baked goodies are just as wonderful as the outdoor sitting area that allows cafe goers to enjoy the outdoor rain under a covered and heated patio. If it's summer enjoy Tuesday night pizza on the patio, live music on certain Tuesdays, call or check their website. Enjoy mornings with a fresh baked good. In winter, bring a jacket and you can enjoy the patio, or sit inside if there is room.

The 5th Street Market has a great restaurants upstairs, but downstairs you will find Provisions Market Hall. Think of a mini European market hall where you can find specialty cuts of meats and imported cheeses to wines at a wine bar, espresso and baked pastries (lovely eclairs, croissants, macrons), pizza bar and organic produce. Plan to spend an hour or two there, if you have the time.

One of our favorite restaurants for dinner. The inn is great, but the food is exceptional. The seasonal menu changes makes this place a exciting to dine. If you are looking for romantic, Campbell House has beautiful grounds. Enjoy the view out the window, ask about sitting outside in the lawn chairs. Order a bottle of wine and appetizer! Very romantic. It is sometimes a little unknown gem of Eugene.

Although King Estate is not our favorite winery, it is well known in the South Willamette Valley wine tours. If you have the time to drive roughly 30 minutes out of Eugene, it is well worth it. Aside from the tasting room, the estate has a fine dining restaurant. Proposing to your beloved or celebrating an anniversary? This is very romantic, and a great place to dress up and enjoy a night out. The sunsets are beautiful from the restaurant! Brunch is served on the weekend. Check their website or call for more information.

We do the bulk of our grocery shopping here. Excellent meat & seafood counter with homemade sausages, in house smoked salmon. Good produce, local and imported beer, hard cider and wine. Although we shop at Sundance Natural Foods for produce, Capella Market does a great job providing options of organic to conventional vegetables and fruits. Their deli has custom sandwiches you can make to order, and a deli case with a variety of meat or vegetarian prepared meals.
