A delightful day trip, about forty minutes out of town. Features the work of iconic Australian glass artist, Peter Crisp. Licensed Cafe - Field of Dreams, open Friday to Monday 10-4. Massive country garden. Most enjoyable country drive from Nishi, soon you'll be out of the city and driving through the local countryside, with farms, vineyards and olive groves.

I have wonderful memories of Corin Forest and it's about 45 minutes by car from Nishi. (You normally won't need chains -check their website for updates.) Personally, I prefer to go there in summer. The mountain slide is heaps of fun. Corin Forest is a beautiful place for a picnic. Visit Corin Dam and nearby Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, and Gibraltar Falls.
