Incredible food and views. One of our favourite places all year round. There is also fresh cheese made here which you can purchase. They do a wonderful soup that is served inside a loaf of bread. Great to cycle or walk here. There is some outdoor play equipment for children.

Amazing cosy Swiss idyll. We love this place. It is great when you want cosy shelter from the weather and its great in the sunshine with its large terrace. The menu is traditional, simple and delicious mountain fare. There are play areas for the children and a crows nest drinking spot with its own mini cable car to carry drinks to the table.

Lovely restaurant on a snowy day. Take shelter here. It's a little tricky to get too (keep far left on the piste past the Thyon apartments and you will see it - its down the toboggan run).

Famous! It's off the beaten track but its a top place for some great food on a big ski day to Verbier. Make sure you leave enough time to get home! Best to turn up early.

This is a wonderful converted cow shed situated on the ski run Les Chottes (it is not where the map marker is but rather look for the ski run 'Les Chottes'. It is a must go restaurant in the winter. It has a wide menu, hot tubs and large sun terraces. It is a very high altitude. In the summer it is usually open everyday July to mid Sept (although sometimes closed for private functions so please check beforehand). It is a wonderful walk from Thyon (can be done in both summer and winter). It takes about 45minutes and is signposted. You can also cycle this (take the chair lift up if you don't want to cycle up the mountain!).

This is the highest dam / reservoir in Europe. It is stunning. You can walk up to the lake or take a short cable car. There are lots of walks at the top with some to remote mountain huts.

A wonderful dam and reservoir. You can drive to the top. On the way up there are some lovely BBQ / picnic areas by the mountain stream. A fantastic way to spend a sunny day.
