Sacramento is the farm-to-fork capitol of the United States. The "W" Street Farmer's Market (located across the street from the City's historic Southside Park), showcases every nut, cheese, fish, fruit, vegetable, wine, olive-oil, and baked good imaginable, all sold by the very farmers who grew them. This is the largest farmers' market in the region. Great prices, excellent vibe, and fantastic produce! A great way to spend a Sunday morning!

Considered by many to be the supreme ramen house in town, Ryujin Ramen is backed by the expertise of Sai Wong, a ramen aficionado, who has presided over some of Sacramento's best Japanese restaurants throughout the better half of his 20-year epicurean career. Mr. Wong regularly travels to Japan, seeking the latest ramen noodles, recipes, and unique ingredients in order to maximize quality and flavor for his patrons back at Ryujin in Sacramento. Located in the heart of Old Sacramento, Ten22 prides itself in award winning cuisine and superior quality brews. The “New American” cuisine features locally sourced ingredients from regional farmers. The bar at Ten22 offers over 24 beers on tap in addition to a seasonal cocktail menu. Old Sacramento is rich in history, and while it certainly has it's charms, the district can often be overrun by the exploits of tourism - however, the back patio at Ten22 offers the perfect reprieve from such distractions. Well shaded by climbing palms and surrounded by historic Gold Rush-era brick buildings, along with the additional bonus of the cool delta breeze, this restaurant patio serves as the perfect spot for a quality outdoor dining experience.

Nominated for a Michelin star, this relaxed, contemporary, and reasonably-priced haunt serves locally-sourced New American dishes, including vegan options. We would be remiss to not mention the vintage dive-bar across the street, The Round Corner Tavern. The Round Corner Tavern was opened in 1938 - one year after 2330 S Street was built - and is not actually named for the rounded art-deco style corner of the building (24th and S Streets) but rather for the pool tables that have been a staple of this haunt ever since the day it opened. This bar enjoys a solid reputation with true-blue pool aficionados and those looking for the absolute cheapest well-drinks in town. Keep your eye out for the ghost of notorious Sacramento serial-killer, Dorothea Puente, who once worked the famed (now vegan and carnivore) kitchen of this local dive. Not the most refined or spectacular place in town but it certainly has its own set of unique and rustic charms.
