Walking distance from the condo, go under the bridge and always be careful when walking near highway. Sardina Cantina has been a long time ex-pat local staple. If you are hankering for clam chowder and crab cakes, you have found the right place. Full bar, fresh fish, and great steaks.

La Esquina is literally translated as "the corner" in English. Our corner is found in Todos Santos, Baja Sur at Calle Topete and Horizonte (across from Casa Drácula). We believe that good things come to those who take the time to go off the beaten path and that's where you'll find us. We offer healthy food choices with a menu focused on sandwiches (made to order), salads, tasty soups, smoothies and juices. Most fruits and vegetables are organically grown and local (our own backyard). Not long ago these things weren't easily found in Todos Santos and we feel that we've filled a niche in our community. But the cafe has evolved into much more than a breakfast or lunch spot. We've created

El Farallón's wow-factor asset is a spectacular cliffside setting overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the exclusive Resort at Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas. The restaurant pairs fresh local seafood with its romantic atmosphere, adding decorative touches like lanterns and beautifully crafted wicker chairs, fine linen and polished silver. The fish is fresh daily, and diners pick their dinner market style, choosing from a selection of sea bass, red snapper, striped bass, shrimp, tuna, dorado, clams and lobster. The fish is then weighed and taken to the chef to be grilled with an array of fresh chilies. Spectacular.

The walk-in humidor at J&J Habanos (AKA La Casa del Habano) smells like a cigar aficionado's idea of heaven, not surprising since the store is the most reliable place in Los Cabos to buy Cuban cigars. Authenticity may be questionable at best at other local tobacconists, but J&J offers nothing but genuine stogies, singly or by the box, from premier Cuban producers like Cohiba and Romeo y Julieta. Prices aren't cheap for top brands, and in fact have increased significantly since the U.S. relaxed import limits. Affordable cigars are available, however, and J&J also boasts one of the largest local collections of premium 100% blue agave tequilas. Big Papa mojitos cocktails and top-shelf tequila.

Playa El Médano, or Médano Beach, is a big spring breaker destination in March. But it’s bustling just about any time of year. In fact, you could say it’s the center of social life in Cabo San Lucas. At nearly two miles long, it will lure you with restaurants, bars, souvenir shops and water sports. Go ahead – rent a wave runner or kayak, go parasailing, or have a water taxi take you out to Land’s End or Lover’s Beach. It’s very safe to swim here, especially in the roped-off areas, although you won’t find any lifeguards in Cabo San Lucas.

Definitely an overnight trip and one that you may never forget. This bay is particularly noted for the seasonal migration of the California gray whales that come here during winter to mate. The bay is also popular for commercial and sports fishing. Nearby mangrove swamps provide sanctuaries for sea birds. The bay includes the small fishing port of San Carlos, as well as Puerto López Mateos, which provides a good place to observe the whales. During the winter mating and birthing season you can take panga boats out and have contact with the grey whales that will come up to the boat to scrape off their barnacles. A magical experience.

Welcome to souvenir central. Set in downtown San José del Cabo, Plaza Artesanos is home to dozens of vendors selling authentic Mexican jewelry, clothing, tote bags, rugs and ceramics. This is one-stop shopping for tourists looking for high-quality, yet affordable keepsakes in a comfortable atmosphere without any hard sell tactics. There is plenty of gold and silver jewelry, as well as hand-stitched dresses, hats, masks, religious iconography, tequila, and just about every kind of trinket imaginable. The plaza itself is clean and airy, and a great place to spend an afternoon, with plenty of benches and shade-giving umbrellas. The complex also houses a coffee shop and pharmacy.

Minerva's has been in Cabo San Lucas for over 35 years, and it remains one of the most trusted charter fishing operations in the area. The company also maintains a well-stocked downtown tackle shop, Minerva's Baja Tackle, that carries the area's largest supply of fishing rods, reels, lures, terminal tackle, and fishing gear and apparel. Charter fishing can be arranged from the store, including fishing licenses and boxed lunches, and this is also the go-to place for rod and reel maintenance, repair and respooling. The store stocks many top lures, such as Black Bart, Zuker, Williamson, Rapala, Braid and Yo-Zuri.

Todos Santos is a Pueblo Magico that you could spend an entire vacation exploring. The history of Todos Santos dates back to 1723, when the Jesuits came to establish a regional outpost (visita) Mission. They discovered Pericu, Cochime, and Guaycuara Indians living in the mountain areas surrounding what is now Todos Santos. Some of the ranches as we know today, such as Guayabitas, were once Indian settlements. One of the purposes of the establishment of the mission here was to convert the natives to the Catholic lifestyle. The Indians were entranced by the Holy Saints days, along with the special adornments they were given to wear, but they rebelled at many changes, including monogamy. They

El Arco is an incredible landmark formed over millennia from a rocky protrusion that arches like the tail of a mythical creature. Apart from its characteristic shape, El Arco is famed for being one of the few places in the world where you can swim in both an ocean and a sea. That is, El Arco marks the spot where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet, whose currents have contributed to the formation of Cabo’s most beloved landmark. Another of the main attractions for visitors to El Arco is to see sea lions, seals and exotic birdlife. Seals and sea lions are renowned for spending their days lounging in the sun at El Arco. Don’t be surprised to feel the splash of a pelican bomb.

This beautiful old church is one of the jewels of San Jose del Cabo’s historic downtown – just steps from City Hall, Casa de la Cultura and Distrito del Arte (Art District). It’s been through several moves and renovations since being founded in 1734 by Jesuit priest and local legend Nicolas Tamaral. Get up-close with Tamaral’s storied past by looking up at the church’s entrance; there, you’ll see a mosaic depicting his killing by the area’s native inhabitants, the Pericúes. The church moved to its current spot near the middle of the 19th century but had to be rebuilt in the 20th century after being hit by a hurricane. It continues to be one of the most important cultural monuments in Los Cab

El Triunfo is a small mining town in La Paz Municipality, Baja California Sur, about 4½ miles north of San Antonio. In 1862, silver and gold were discovered in the southern B.C.S. mountains, leading miners from Mexico and the United States to set up camp. Once the largest city in B.C.S, it was home to more than 10,000 miners. In its heyday the town was a cultural center, where Francisca Mendoza taught and performed. Pianos and other instruments were brought to El Triunfo from all over the world and a piano museum still exists. Another remnant of the past is the 35-meter-high smokestack designed by Gustav Eiffel. The mines shut down in 1926 and most people left. The 2010 census reported a pop

Miraflores – Also belonging to the municipality of Los Cabos, this small Town is considered part of Cabo del Este. It was founded in 1700 by French sailors. Formerly called old ranch, but due to the abundance of flowers and beautiful women was called Miraflores. Here there is the only saddlery in the state that worked the skin, from where quoted wonders in the form of briefcases, belts, bags, sheaths, shoes, handbags and huaraches. In Miraflores there is a rich chorizo and a delicious crunch of beef, which are distributed throughout the state. Products of the French teachings, some fruits like the pitaya are packaged in its conservation and sale.
