Getting around
You will need a car.
You will need to rent a car or golf cart to explore the island. You can NOT bring rental cars from PR to Vieques on the ferry. Casa De Claire sometimes has a rental car available. Please inquire.

Many of the island's best beaches are located inside the National Wildlife Refuge on the south side of Vieques, off Route 997, including: Playa Caracas (previously known as “Red” Beach”), La Chiva (previously known as "Blue Beach"), Pata Prieta ("Secret beach") and others.
There are three beaches located inside Sun Bay (located next to Esperanza) including Sun Bay, Media Luna and Navio.
